[The bunks are filling up, but the new faces just keep appearing!

Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

Well, this is the place for you!

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Everyone else-- go meet those newbies! Whether they are new to your own crew, or on ships you frequently visit, now is a great time to bump into them.]

That would depend on the general availability of interstellar technology. For all we know, these ships have been used in the past twelve "cycles" of the show; given the general state of disrepair on some of them, I'd consider it a strong possibility; the planets we've visited don't seem to have the facilities to fabricate their own ships.

Good point. Can't really compare it to where I'm from. [But it's hard to ignore your only frame of references too.]

So, what about you? Are you hoping to get out? [He did seem to know more about what had been going on than anyone else she's spoken with.]

I'd welcome the chance to return home, but to be truthful, most of my friends and comrades are already here. No doubt there will be more crises to handle whether I'm there or not.

Most? Really? That's kind of impressive. Then again I've already seen more people I know than I ever expected to. Kind of know. [Not her versions and it is only three. She had low expectations.]

I could hope for the Falcon or War Machine, but otherwise yes. My timeline seems to be a fairly popular one with the viewers.

Are those also their given names? [Because they still register as codenames to her.]

Ah, no. Sam Wilson and James Rhodes, two of the newer Avengers. Thor and myself are the only ones without alternate identities.

Avengers, huh? Team of people with powers fighting to save the world? [She doesn't actually recognize the name. This is a guess based on her own experiences and the vibe she's getting from Vision.]

Or extraordinary abilities rather than powers as such. Sam Wilson is trained in the use of a very rare piece of equipment that essentially grants him wings.

But we do try to help the world, yes.

Sounds familiar. Not the specific team, but the concept.

[And.] I do know a guy with actual wings.

[Oh, that gets a smile. His eyes light up.]

Do you? I'd wish to meet him, but, ah--I'm afraid a spaceship would feel extremely claustrophobic for someone with wings.

Haven't seen Angel in a long time, [And they weren't exactly close. He wasn't an X-Man.] but you never know who might turn up. [He did die shortly before her in the attack.] I'll introduce you if he does. [And if he's a version of himself who recognizes her.]

Hey, what's a crewmate for, right?

Actually, how does that work here? Do people keep to themselves? Big family dinners? Hazing?

There's no hazing on this ship, at least, but it is rather small so we get to know one another fairly well.

I tend to keep to myself, as I have no food requirements, but I do like to join the rest of the crew for entertainment. Wrath likes to gather for movie nights every so often, and I perform regular checkups on Castle's robotic janitors.

No food requirements, huh? Do you mind if I ask, are you an artificial intelligence? [It feels like an odd thing to ask someone. It's not like he's a fake person. Non-organic?]

[It's a fair question, and he smiles again.] I identify as an android, yes, although the full story is rather complicated. An organic body infused with a rare metal, given two AI downloads, fused with a powerful artifact and then brought to life with Mjolnir's thunder. I can eat, but it's not necessary.

You're right, that is complicated. [She smiles.] But aren't we all? [Just in different, usually non-Mjolnir type ways.]

And normally I'd recommend eating anyway, but not so much with the things I've eaten here.

Indeed, especially in as diverse a group as the Fleet.

My friend Eugene on the Vanquish is something of an experimental chef, actually, and I do like to help with his projects. I don't have a great deal of experience as to whether it's any good, but his ship hasn't complained about his skills yet.

[And "edible" is a secondary quality of almost all the plants he's collected, even if "medicinal" has first priority.]

It only really has to be good or bad to you. If you like it then it's good. There are probably people out there who don't like pizza and while they're clearly wrong they also get to not eat any of my pizza. [It's not just for mutant turtles.]

[Mr. Stark likes pizza, so he's actually tried it a few times.]

I believe there is a pizza place on the station, though their delivery fees are barely short of extortion and I'm told faux pepperoni is "the work of the devil". Perhaps we could order some for the ship?

[The pepperoni comment gets a laugh.] That sounds good, but I am pretty sure I have zero money at this point. [She hasn't even been to the station yet.]

Perhaps I could use some of my profits, then. I'm employed as a holographic technician at one of the fancier dance clubs. With a pilot augment, you may be able to get a temporary position as a shuttle pilot or courier, if you desire.

That's a good idea. Rogue mentioned covering me when we meet up, but I don't want her having to do that.

And pizza is always a great idea if you really want to do that. [Look at you being nice and generous.]

[It's not like he has much use for money himself, except to get improvements for the ship.]
