[ The video starts, but it would be easy to assume at first that the young man featured in it was still asleep. He's got a grey beanie shoved over his eyes in a manner that was definitely intentional. But after a long moment, he groans and sits up, pulling the beanie up so he can see what he's doing. ]

...Ugh. Where...

[ He does notice the camera after a moment, and he freezes. It's with an entirely unhappy scowl that he turns away after a moment, looking around. ]

What the hell is this?

[ He didn't ask for this, and he definitely doesn't seem impressed to be the latest member of intergalactic reality television. ]

[ Shinjiro froze. He'd been running, he was willing to admit that to himself, but even if he hadn't... There was one person he'd never thought he'd get a chance to see again, for all the chances that Aather had given him at the end to visit infinite worlds. One person he'd given a farewell to with no hope of another meeting, for all that he hadn't wanted him to leave. ]

Dune.

[ He'd missed him. ]

[ He schools himself well - though he's not hiding much. ]

Did you ever make it home at least?

[ Shinjiro considers lying for all of two seconds before he realizes that he doesn't really want to. Besides, he's pretty sure it would be pointless. ]

I hadn't intended on going back.

[ He frowns. ]

Then where did you plan on going?

[axeboyfriend]

[ He shrugs slightly. ]

I didn't really have a plan. Sora and I were just going from world to world.

[ He relaxes a little at that. ]

Well, as far as plans go, that one is not terrible.

[ Shinjiro raises an eyebrow slightly. ]

What were you expecting?

[ Though if Shinjiro were completely honest, the whole thing had been more sprung on him than actually intended. But Sora hadn't let him go with his original plan; to run away from everyone he knew forever. ]

[ Shinjiro snorts lightly. ]

I don't really think of myself as the martyr type.

[ He pauses for a moment. ]

...I didn't think I'd see you again.

[ If he had seen any of them again, he would have wavered in his duty. But he softens the blow to his words. ]

But perhaps it is better it happened this way.

Meant to or not... I'm glad it happened.

[ He definitely means it, not that he'd think Dune would doubt him. ]

[ He's gentle. ]

But things have not changed for me.

I didn't think they had.

[ His voice gets a little low as he says that. ]

Still... it's nice to have a little while longer.... Even if it's putting off the inevitable.

[ He sighs, coming closer. Leto carefully rests his palm against Shinjiro's cheek, the wormskin stark against their skin. ]

Foolish.

[ Shinjiro leans ever-so-slightly into the touch. The wormskin is strange, but he can live through the odd sensation. ]

[ He pulls his hand away after a while, mindful of how he feels. ]

We might not be assigned to the same ship.

I'd be surprised if we were.

[ Pleasantly surprised, but still. ]

That doesn't mean I won't keep in touch while I can. We're still Ruby, even if we're not in the same place.

[ It's Lab Support, but he actually hasn't focused on that knowledge. He shakes his head. ]

I'm not entirely sure how to figure that out.

[ He rubs the back of his neck. ]

[ Shinjiro laughs lightly. ]
