[ It's another day, another planet for the Drift Fleet to explore. Whether it be relaxing in the landing field, checking out the spa (and subsequently getting urged to enter the woods), or taking on the Enchanted Forest's game, there's enough to do for stir-crazy Fleet members.

Just remember one thing: make it look good. ]

[Ugh. That. He was hoping Ludger was talking about something else. What else, he has no idea- but the hope had still been there]

Oh...uh, thanks. Never heard it called that before.

[twifork]

[Oh. So it isn't that? Ludger tilts his head and his brows draw together. This is intended as a question: what is it?]

[wilder]

[A pause]

It's called an exsphere. To put it simply, it helps me control my magic.

[Oh, okay! Sounds like an Allium Orb. He understands. He gives a nod to express this understanding. He shuts his eyes, happy to relax into the hot springs.

And then he hears a 'meow.'

Ludger's eyes immediately open and he sits up.]

Did you hear that?

[He is already getting out of the water. A cat is nearby.]

[wilder]

[Oh, he definitely heard it. And he's surprised]

A cat...? Out here?

[He's not getting up just yet, but he'll sure be turning his body to try to look in the direction that sound came from.]

[twifork]

It might be in trouble. [HE'S OUTTA THE WATER THERE IS A MISSION AT HAND AND IT'S CAT-SHAPED. Ludger only bothers to toss on Tales Mandated Swim Gear and he follows the meowing sound. It is coming from somewhere near the entrance to the forest.]

[wilder]

[!!!]

[WHOA WHOA WAIT WHAT ARE YOU]

Ludger! You're not even dressed!

[twifork]

[He looks back at Kaneis.] I'm going to rescue it. Are you coming?

[KANEIS THIS IS IMPORTANT.]

[wilder]

[.....]

Can I..at least put pants on first?

[twifork]

[beat]

[nod]

[He guesses he can yank on his pants too, and his shirt. BUT SCREW WEARING A TIE, A CAT IS IN NEED]

[Kaneis Slightly Approves: +1]

[wilder]

[Ties are stupid anyway.]

[But alright, with that cleared up, he'll reluctantly pull himself out of the hot springs and head over to where his dry towel and clothes are. He pulls on pants, boots and his jacket - which he just buttons up so he doesn't have to bother with a shirt]

[Also before he had the jacket on Ludger might have saw what looked like a nasty scar from a stomach wound - but oh let's be real Ludger is too focused on the cat to notice anything anymore]

[But once he's ready, he'll walk over to Ludger, putting his hair into a quick ponytail in the meantime]

Alright. Let's go see what's up.

[Thank God. Ludger nods his affirmative—the job is on—and starts to jog towards the entrance of the forest. The only reason he doesn't use his dash is so he can look around carefully, listening for any further meowing.

And—there it is! A cat just to the left of the entrance!

Ludger glances back at Kaneis and gestures for Kaneis to approach from one side. Ludger will near the cat from the other.]

[wilder]

[Yes, that sure is a cat. Kaneis seems a bit more wary at the presence of the cat considering it's at the entrance of the Enchanted Forest, but oh well. This isn't his job.]

[He looks at Ludger for what to do and heads to approach from that one side. He's...not really sure what he's doing here. The last time he lured an animal it was to kill it.]

[He's guessing that's not what we're doing here]

Here...kitty kitty kitty...please don't be a demon in disguise...c'mere...

[That's what you say right?]

[Ludger looks up at Kaneis to give him a "Really? Really?" look. No. That isn't what you say.

But he has to focus on the cat here. Slowly, carefully, he approaches. He crouches down, and offers the kitty his hand.

It sniffs him once, twice, three times, then rubs up against the side of his hand. Ludger smiles.

And then it dodges into the forest. Ludger's eyes widen. He doesn't hesitate for one second before running in after it.]

[wilder]

[Whatever man it's not like he ever owned a cat]

[And he lets out a little shocked noise when he sees Ludger RUNNING INTO TEH ENCHANTED FOREST]

Ludger! Wait! You can't run in there- it's an Enchanted Forest! Who knows what nasty things are in there!

[twifork]

[Ludger doesn't answer as he races inside after his poor feline soon-to-be-rescue. Doesn't Kaneis understand? The Enchanted Forest could hurt the cat.]

[Kaneis Slightly Disapproves: -1]

[wilder]

[Wow Ludger that is INSANE. He has almost half the mind to LEAVE YOU IN THERE TO YOUR FATE- but alas no. He has this terrible thing called a conscious and Ludger is crew on top of it. What a pain.]

[So he says a few lines of profanity to himself before he runs into the forest behind Ludger.]

I can't believe this...

[twifork]

[It takes a bit for Ludger to become visible again—and here is there, crouched down beside the cat, trying to lure it into his arms with gentle motions. He looks back at Kaneis, considers asking if he has any fish on hand, and then realizes that that would be impossible.

Obviously, that is exactly when the cat decides to leap into Ludger's arms. Ludger hoists the cat up and gets to his feet, shushing his new friend with gentle pats. He looks at Kaneis and tilts his head, then points further into the forest.

Does Kaneis want to keep going ahead?]

[wilder]

Oh good. You got the cat.

[Yeah no Ludger he's two pieces of clothes away from naked here. He does not have fish on him. He shakes his head at ludger's pointing]

I really don't think we should be in this forest. It'd be better if we went back-

[Which, he turns to do just that and sees that the path they had been running on? Isn't there anymore. In fact, the path they're on right now seems to start right at Ludger' and Kaneis's feet]

Oh...Of course it did that. [He sighs]

[twifork]

[Of course. Ludger's brows furrow. That is definitely not a good thing. While he doesn't have a weapon, he does have his Chromatus (he assumes) so at the least, he should be able to handle a lot of the enemies here. But he has to make sure Kaneis is okay.

There is only one way forward.

Stroking the cat's back, Ludger takes on a determined expression. He gestures for Kaneis to stay behind him and steps forward onto the path, ready to destroy anything dangerous up ahead before it can get at his friend.]
