[a light little laugh, like she proved his point simply by trying to make the argument. which... yeah, she actually kind of did.]

[and, oh hey spooky forest. there's a sound prickling at him from the nearby underbrush, but he's doing his best to ignore its existence.]

[ Ah, good. Sounds in the spooky forest. And here she is with this asshole.

Like hell she's going to be all "did you hear something" and seem all scared. No way. ]

Not that it'll do you any good, so you can claim what you want.

[and he stops when, yes, there is definitely something moving around in the trees right nearby. bright flickers of red and orange through the dense underbrush, heading slowly their way.]

[said very calmly. as he just kind of... sliiiides a step backward. casual but deliberate.

...and yeah, that's definitely fire. it's beginning to lick up through the branches, brighter and hungrier. and, even better, there seems to be a figure marching through the middle of it. a woman's voice booms out from the trees.]

[ Okay maybe the fire is the first thing to pay attention to right now. ]

I did absolutely nothing.

[to Emblica, obviously, but he's looking at the woman marching through the forest at him while he says it. the sentiment might be aimed at her as well.

also, the woman seems to be on fire... but not burning up. she's causing the flames, they're radiating from her and setting the greenery around her ablaze. branches pop and sizzle as the water inside is superheated.

her hair and eyes match the flames in appearance, and as soon as the branches around her clear enough for her to do so, she's... drawing her sword.]

I really doubt that.

[ Taking a small step back, even though it's not like the woman could kill her.

She just doesn't really enjoy being set on fire. ]
