[ It's another day, another planet for the Drift Fleet to explore. Whether it be relaxing in the landing field, checking out the spa (and subsequently getting urged to enter the woods), or taking on the Enchanted Forest's game, there's enough to do for stir-crazy Fleet members.

Just remember one thing: make it look good. ]

[she'll have to wait while he kind of juggles the bottles in his arms again, jostling them until he finds the one he's looking for and holds it up.]

This stuff. It says it's just for blonde hair.

[Oh! Not what Shirley expected, but it's a nice gesture.]

Is that for washing? Yes, thank you.

[She takes the bottle and turns it around in her hand. They have something just for blonde hair? That's sort of impressive.]

I think it's, like... kind of a conditioner thing.

[sure enough, the bottle claims that it will brighten and soften even the blondest of hair. but it might just end up making it smell good.]

I've got dye and stuff in my hair, so I didn't know if it would work on mine or not, so...

[he shrugs!]

I'll give it a try. I don't know if the results will help you, but I can let you know how it turns out.

Oh, I just thought you might like it. I've got other stuff I'm going to try.

[he shifts the bottles around in his arms until he can fish another one out, looking at the label]

...I don't know what hair bronzing lotion is, but... I'm going to try it!

What's the worst that could happen?

[hair loss, rashes, cancer, poisoning, allergic reaction, split-ends...]

It probably wouldn't be permanent. ...Right?

Even if it weren't, it could do something that you won't like...like changing the color.

There's dye in my hair, but it's, like... way growing out.

[he picks at all the orangey bits in his otherwise blondish hair.]

I really want to dye it again.

Do you do things with it often?

I like to... but it's hard to do new things with it very often.

Especially here.

[he's kind of a vain little guy.]

It's easier with long hair.

[Shirley starts pointing to herself, before remembering that she's wrapped all her hair up in a towel. She takes off the towel and lets her hair fall out, with some of the braids still intact - pretty messy, but it proves the point.]

See? But I haven't done anything new with it in a long time...

[his eyes get kind of huge.]

[Oh. Not the reaction she was expecting, but--well. Shirley tugs on one of her braids self-consciously.]

I've worn it this way for years, but I do still like it the way it is.

Have you ever done anything else with it? Like, other braids or anything?

Not really. I just never thought about it a lot before, I suppose. Most of the time there were other things to do.

I bet your hair would look great with elven braids in it.

Elven braids? What are those?

[he laughs a little... until he realizes that she's probably not making a joke.]

Oh, they're really pretty. Some of them get super complicated, but even the simple ones are nice.
