[Pretty, orange hair. Might be Nami. He'd chase her up, find out if she was taking advantage of Sascha's gullibility or if Sascha had been an idiot. Again.]

[He settled back into his seat, nose twitching the once. Still had some time left on the meat.]

I hope they're all as pretty as her... [ It may be equal parts on both counts. Sascha is pretty gullible, and well...Nami does like money. So. ]

Fable humans, they're pretty. Like Beauty. Or Snow.

But I've only met you... I don't know how a Fable lady would compare! [ besides, he is a huge fan of that beard. ]

[He pauses. Snow is too close to home to describe. He settles on Beuaty.]

Look, I don't get human looks like a human would. But I can appreciate something looking nice. Beauty, she's, well, she is beautiful. She has blonde hair, real thick and long, she wears it loose, even when she ties it back, it's just with a ribbon. She has big blue eyes and sort of this soft, warm gold tone to her skin and peachy lips. She looks wholesome, but she's got a steel cable for a spine, because she won't take Beast's shit. Loves him more than anything, but she doesn't take crap from him, never has.

She smells sweet. Under the human things of blood and skin, she smells sweet, like peaches soaked in sugar.

[pneumo]

[ That's a lot of description for one person--in depth, too. Sascha can't help but wonder if he's maybe fond of her? Although he does mention her...boyfriend? Husband? So he makes a thoughtful sound. ]

She sounds gorgeous...

[Bigby could describe each and every Fable in that sort of detail. The ones at the Farm... maybe less so, it had been a long time since he had seen tasted most of them.]

She is. Lot of the Fables are striking, for their species. Human, troll, cat, Reynard reckons he's the best looking fox anyone has ever seen.

At least Beauty never married Charming. Probably not for lack of trying on his behalf.

--Prince Charming?? [ Even Sascha's heard that one, although he's more of a "character type" than the one Bigby means. ]

Married Snow first, back when they were both young. Then he fucked her sister, she instigated divorce proceedings...

And he went and rescued Briar Rose and married her. Never heard what broke them up. I presume him putting it around to anything female that would stay still long enough. Then there was the ball, and Cinderella.

He didn't deserve any of them. All good, smart, lovely women and he fucked it up every time. Asshole.

That's....a lot different than the stories they told back home. W-wow. [ Sex and men: 1# reason for being in trouble. ]

Tell me the stories you heard.

[It helps, listening to stories. What is so often retellings of his reality.]

Well....girls who're good and do their best will one day find a Prince Charming sort of thing. Like, a capture Princess waiting for her Prince Charming and that sort of thing...he's always the good guy.

[bb_wolf]

Yeah. And he's great for the rescue, for seeing past the dirt, braving the danger.

It's afterwards that he's a fuckhead.

Seriously. Tell me one of the stories you know.

[He relaxes and closes his eyes to listen.]

Well...I don't know them super-well, but I know Aschenputtel!

[ So he'll tell a very abridged version of this! ]

Cinderella. Though she worships no God and now relies on no one but herself. But the story is unmistakable, that's her and Charming.

Really?? [ Holy cow. Fables are based off of books then? Or maybe they share the same name only? Either way, it's neat. ]

Out lives and stories saturate the worlds.

And give us power. Every time a child is warned to stay on the path or the wolf will get them, or told not to tell lies, because Peter cried Wolf and then the Wolf got him? It's me they talk about.

[He probably wouldn't tell anyone else this sort of detail. It doesn't pass his mind not to tell Sascha.]

Does that make you stronger whenever they tell your story...? [ That's the conclusion he's able to draw from this, more curious than anything else as he leans forward on his elbows on the counter. ]

It makes us more immortal.

[Not stronger, exactly. It makes their story stronger and that gives them power. Bigby is unstoppable. Because there is always a wolf and that wolf is always him. There is nothing he cannot hunt down, there is no force that can make him stop his hunt.]

More us. Charming becomes more persuasive, more skilled at overcoming challenges in the pursuit of what he wants. Cinderella gets more determined. Snow can and will survive anything life throws at her.

Totenkinder, one of our witches, she's a crone. She's worming her way into becoming the archetype, to gain more power. We've managed to stop her doing that shit so far.

What happens to you if more people tell your story...?

I become more me. And I'm already immortal. Even moreso than most Fables.
