first one to make that doctor who joke loses

Who: Everyone! All of you!
Broadcast: Maybe!
Action: Definitely!
When: Anytime during the toxic moon event!

[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

here's the main event info post for reference! have fun!]
pain_train: (back against the wall)

But it's important to try right?

Though it's also okay to fail when it's not live fire.

So it's okay if you're mad sometimes too.
axiomed: (When I met you)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. It certainly is.

[ He's come to terms with it. The uglier emotions that dwell within him. ]
pain_train: (goofy grin)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Since they seem to be in agreement, she gives him another sunny smile.]

Where are you headed?
axiomed: (I was on a downslide)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I was just looking around. This is my first time in outer space.

[ Being on an alien planet is fascinating to him, letting their minds wash over him, but not too strongly. ]
pain_train: (grin 5)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Want company?

This whole thing's my first time in space too. You from Earth, or one of the colonies?
axiomed: (Remind me of how I used to feel)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
I certainly wouldn't mind.

I am from Earth. Very early in Earth's history, according to this place.

[ They certainly didn't have space travel beyond the moon landing. ]
pain_train: (goofy grin)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I'll stick with you, then! [He seems really nice. And he's cute. Though she's trying to be very conscientious about all the lecturing she got from North back in the day, stuff like, Wrath you can't just hit on people from earlier in history, it makes them feel uncomfortable. So she's trying very hard to not be weird.

She snaps her fingers and gives Officer Snuggles another little hand signal, so he'll follow along.]

Wow, Earth. That's so cool! I'm from Zeus, and I've never been to Earth ever. Um. If it helps, the current year for me is 3162. What's Earth like?
axiomed: (Just having you there)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[ Zeus? The Greek God? It seems the naming of planets hasn't changed by much, save for the pantheon used. Or perhaps Jupiter was renamed. ]

Earth? Well, it's fairly unremarkable planet to most. We have a lot of water and greenery, forests and deserts. Almost every kind of ecological system resides on Earth. It's rich in animal and plant life and we've barely touched the surface.
pain_train: (do you really think so)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Named for the number of ways that planet has tried to fuck the humans.]

But you can go outside whenever you want and see the sunsets, right? The atmosphere is still good. It sounds... really beautiful. I've seen pictures, but pictures are never as good as the real thing.
axiomed: (And we really cared)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
[ He blinks. ]

Ah . . . yes. We can. Anyone can do that.
pain_train: (miss the past that no longer exists)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
[Sigh.]

You're so lucky.

We used to be able to. I think? But now the terraforming's all FUBAR so the air is toxic and there's these poor bastards that have been turned into monsters by the dysthrophic plague that try to eat you anyway.
axiomed: (Always waiting)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
[ Er. ]

Yes. We're certainly fortunate, in many ways.
pain_train: (profile 2)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
We had a big war, but it was only cold for part of the time. I don't know if the weather would have helped though.

But hopefully yours gets better? Though it must have, because there's a ton of colonies, and Earth was still around the last time we heard from it. So that's good, right?

[Find the positive side!]
axiomed: (You are my everything)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-17 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
[ This is a lot of positivity, even for Charles. ]

Well, our war is mostly over and I don't think colonies will happen in the near future. At least, not for a long time.
pain_train: (you adorable dork)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-17 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good! The majority of your population is still alive. You'll get there. I... don't remember when the colonies started, but you might get to see it. [History is really hard when you can't really remember anything before your seventeenth birthday.]

So I'm glad things are getting better for you on Earth.
axiomed: (My head and my heart)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-18 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
I am very fortunate.

[ In so many ways. ] We still have a long way to go, but I have faith we'll make it through.
pain_train: (Default)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-18 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
I believe that too. [She has to.]

What's your favorite thing about Earth?
axiomed: (And lived everyday)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-18 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
[ That was a hard question. He took a lot of things on Earth for granted, and even when he parted from it, he always assumed it would be still there. ]

I don't know for sure. I've never given it much thought. I've always liked my gardens.
pain_train: (you adorable dork)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-18 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Gardens are so neat! I wanted to try to have a garden when I got my house. I just... didn't have time for it. Like figuring out how to make it work with the back and all. But growing things... that's such a beautiful thing to do.

I liked sunsets best about Zeus. Before the dome closed.
axiomed: (Anyone in there)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-18 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
Can't you do it on the Iskaulit? They do have nice gardens there, albeit artificially maintained.

[ It was the first place Erik and Charles went to. ]
pain_train: (Default)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-18 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It'd be really cool. I'm supposed to be taking it easy right now, til Dr. Crusher fixes my back, but after that maybe I can! There's so much cool stuff over on the Iskaulit now... I've got my mural, but I haven't gotten to work on it in a while.
axiomed: (My head and my heart)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-19 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
I'd be happy to help you with it, though I'm afraid my abilities in that area are limited.

[ Also he had actual gardeners to do it, the snob. ]
pain_train: (grin 3)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-19 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know anything about plants at all since that was never my job, so we can learn together! That'll be so much fun. [Grin.] You have really good ideas.
axiomed: (I was on a downslide)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-04-19 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
It's one of my very few redeeming qualities.
pain_train: (grin 4)

[personal profile] pain_train 2016-04-20 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Don't be silly, you've obviously got lots of redeeming qualities! You're really smart [As someone who knows she isn't that smart, this is a big deal to her], and you're kind, and you're determined, and you have pretty eyes and a really cute smile! And those are just the easy ones.
