[boy oh boy, isn't everyone just so excited to explore this... charming... place...?

this is a game-wide mingle and the timeframe isn't super-important, so throw in with whatever you want! play war games, go shopping for gas masks, get lost in the wilderness, hide up in the Iskaulit and refuse to set foot on the moon, anything goes.

[Oh, that choice of wording just pushed Remy's buttons to be a sarcastic ass, to shoot back with poor joke about he hadn't thought about that, had planned to bring down a building, or something similar. But he bit his tongue, keeping that form of response to barely a smirk behind his mask.] Sure. Though suggest we get 'way from this area to somewhere a tough less populated, from my experience the masses ain't big on being near explosions.

[ Charles gestures. ]

By all means, lead the way.

[A shrug at the comment before Remy headed out to try and find a slightly less populated area without having to go out in the wildness around the city, pretty sure Charles' chair wouldn't work well on the rougher terrain. Far enough that Remy was sure they wouldn't get whatever passed as a cop on this moon, he drew a single card out from his coat, flaring it up with a charge and holding it for now.]

[ His expression lights up as he observes the card. ]

Fascinating. How can a card hold all that energy? How long? Do objects with more mass have a longer charge?

[It really was a waste of a card on his already limited stock, yet Remy allowed the charge to keep instead of pulling it back, flinging the card away from them and any others that may be around them to the most deserted section of air there was, it exploding a moment after it went spinning into the air.] It can't really, it's got a fuse on it, dependin' on how much a charge I put 'nto it. More energy, bigger bang, but less time to use it in, though I been practicing on changing that. [Despite her no longer being around, Remy was still working to the plans he and Jean Grey had made up to help him control his now unlocked and unrestrained mutation.]

As for larger objects, depends how much of a charge 'm puttin' through it again. Can put a light one through it but it kinda just works on a surface level, hold on longer 'nd can make the entire thing go up.

I knew someone who used kinetic energy, but nothing like this. It's curious to see the variations in this ability.

[Remy shrugged a shoulder as he allowed his hands to rest in the front pockets of his coat.] Can't say 've run 'cross 'nother who uses it, though suppose it might be hard to tell if it used in a different way. Seen a few versions of different energy use, mostly as forms of projectiles, but didn't go 'round questionin' how they made.

What have you seen, exactly?

[ This is the part he enjoys - talking to mutants, learning about their abilities, their experiences. ]

Ah, merde, have run 'cross a few others in my time, covered a lot of ground in my life. [Work took him all over the world to get jobs done.] Though suppose the most current ones 've run 'nto come from what most might consider ya neck of the forest, bein' part of the X-Men 'nd all. Got a boy by the name of Scott Summers, codename Cyclops, energy beams from his eyes, [While it was unneeded, Remy raised a hand to indicate to his own covered eyes, waving the hand out to illustrate how the beams of energy was produced. It may be a little redundant due to what he had said, but Remy was a hand speaker, it was easier for him to get words out if he was also moving. Not that getting words out was ever an issue with him.] Can't turn them off though, gotta wear special glasses to keep it under control.

I believe he got a brother who got similar ability, but from his hands. Think his name was, [There was a pause for him to think, having not run into Alex in his time in Bayville, only getting the information via his on going spying on the X-Men for Magneto.] Alex.

[ His expression flickers at that. ]

Alex never mentioned his brother.

[ The name Scott is familiar. One of the people Logan wanted him to find. That man was Alex's brother? ]

[Oh look at that, another name crossing over universes.] Ahh, different universe, can't take for granted 'nything be close to how ya use to it. [It was said in a tone that Remy was use to the idea, having heard and even read about other versions of himself.] From what I understand, from my universe Cyclops lost his family as a kid, so think the whole 'my brother be alive' was a bit of a surprise. Might be the same way ya side, just in reverse. Then again, I got this all from second hand 'nformation, never met the boy m'self, and even then my run ins with Scotty be brief.

[ He nods. While talking about himself or even Erik is easy, talking about his former students - especially when he's unsure Alex is even alive at this point is far more difficult. ]

I'm starting to see that. To be honest, I've never met so many mutants.

[ At least, not like this. ]

Well, ya be from an earlier point in history than I am, [Remy knew that much from his last meet up with 'Xavier' in Luceti.] So 'less ya world had a big reveal earlier than mine, might be 'while before mutants are more outed. There be a lot of us 'bouts from what I understand, just most keep quiet if they can. Not that I blame them, know there certain parts back home I wouldn't go out without sunglasses on. Southern states ain't that good when it comes to people being 'different', especially in the more religious states. [Semi Catholic raised or not, Remy got more than his fair share of 'demon!' due to his eyes, even picking up one of his less complimentary nicknames from it; le diablo blanc.]

Well, that's . . . certainly no longer the case.

[ Some good came out of Erik's annoucement. Sort of. ]

[Remy raised a brow at that from behind his mask.] Got the limelight put on ya'll?

[ He sighs. ]

Sounds like it ain't been fun. [Then again the same could be said for his world, and Remy was a little ashamed of his indirect involvement in it. He had no clue his then boss was about to pull that stunt, that the team had just been a distraction for the X-Men and Brotherhood. Then again, even if he had known he couldn't had done much about it. Remy had not been prepared to go up against Magneto, it was far too dangerous without a lot of forward planning.]

Well, it never is for a mutant.

[ And it happens a lot, so. Charles shrugs. Problems were bound to happen. Prejudices will continue to occur. ]

It's how we act towards them that justify it.

'Them' bein' humans? [There was a shake of his head and a hint of a smirk below his mask, but it wasn't a happy one.] I'm all for not startin' a fight with them, but I ain't ready to get stepped on either, or worse.

I grew up in the South, mon ami, 'nd these, [Remy moved to unstrap his full face mask long enough so he could pull it off to show his eyes to Xavier, ignoring the bite of the air as it hit his nostrils.] Tend to upset some of the God fearin' folk or red neck bigots. Gotta learn to take care of yaself with people like that.

[ Charles doesn't flinch or act surprised. At this point, it's hard to be. ]

Certainly. I have nothing against self-defense, so long as we don't get carried away.

[Scrubbing his palm over his face to get the layer of sweat off that had built up from wearing the mask, and huffing out one last breath of air, Remy started putting the mask back on. He answered as he tightened the straps against his head again.] Best 'ntentions 'nd all that, but sometimes gotta send a message, dependin' on the crowd. Not talkin' big shows like my old boss, but takin' one guy out of a group down can send the others runnin' if they got 'ny brains. Try 'nd win the fight before it even starts.

One can hope they get the message.

[ Being completely pacifistic is fairly impossible, Charles knows. And he's done plenty of reprehensible things. Still, he tries to navigate to the best of his ability. ]

Ahh, ain't real 'mportant now 'nd here, at least from what 've found so far. Folk be real nice 'bout mutant 'nd all that on the ships, but guess there be a whole lot of worlds all mixed to one that we might be the least 'mpressive thing goin' on. Kinda weird to feel mundane at times. [After all, back home it was like wearing a neon sign over your head sometimes, the words 'MUTANT' spelled out for all to see. Even then it was part of his identity, for all his hardships he had gone through Remy loved his mutation. It was so handy, so practical... even if it was a little out of control at the moment.]

If ya don't mind me askin', how far ya gotten with teachin' others to handle their powers? [Maybe there wasn't a school yet from whenever this Xavier was from. Maybe there would never be a school, just because this was Charles Xavier didn't mean he would follow the same path as the man Remy knew of.]

[ He considers his response. ]

A few years. The school closed down for a while but I plan on reopening it soon.
