[ So yeah, it takes a little while, but eventually Sora will see a young girl in a pretty simple black breathing mask making her way over. Thankfully, she can still speak with the damn thing on, so she's still able to do some fancy stuff: ]

Shortcut: ball!

[ Poof! A blue rubber ball appears in front of her. She grabs it, chucks it at the bear's head, and... really wishes, again, that she wasn't masked, because she's griiiinning something fierce right now~ ]

Oi! Bear! Come pick on me for a bit, huh? I'm actually on the ground!

[ And again: ] Shortcut: ball! [ Poof! Another, and she chucks that one at the bear, too~ ]

[The balls hit the bear's head! And it definitely gets her attention. She roars and turns to look at the source- pulling away from the tree to menace on her]

[Sora meanwhile is still up in the tree, just trying to wrap his mind around his. This girl showed up and is now...throwing balls at the bear??? Magic balls?? Should he be worried??? ]

[ Don't worry! At least, not yet. Doot doot...

But the bear is moving away from the tree! Perfect. She waves an arm above her head, signaling to Sora. ]

It's okay! Start running, I'll catch up to you in town!

[ And with her attention back on the bear, she starts taking steps backwards and away from the tree, slooowly, trying to make sure the beast doesn't turn back around... ]

Hmm, you know, I should probably come up with an escape plan for myself... Eheh.

[ ... good job, Kotoha. ]

[There's a good signal. He starts jumping down the tree branches with ease, planning to get out of there as fast as he can-]

[At least until he hears that last part]

- You don't have a plan for yourself?!

[ She waves her hands at him in a shooing motions because NO DON'T STOP YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO RUN! >: ]

It's fine, it's fine! Just give me a minute to think... Umm...

[ And while she's doing that, tapping her chin with one finger, the bear's just going to keep on closing in on her. So she rolls with the first thing that comes to mind: ]

Shortcut: koi!

[ Poof! Yep, that's a fish. She throws it to the side, hoping The bear's hungry enough to go after it! And, you know, hopefully it likes fish. Bears like fish, right? They're supposed to, aren't they?! ]

[Well, it does work in distracting the bear! It gives another bear roar and lumbers over to sniff it out. Since hey- fish >>> people]

[ OH GOOD. Mission accomplished, bear is distracted! And so with that, she takes off running toward Sora. But first... ]

Shortcut: wall!

[ Poof! It's by no means an impressive wall - more like a 7ft-squared block of stone - but it gets the job done, she thinks, considering it's directly between the bear and the two of them. She nods to Sora. ]

Told you~ Let's get out of here!

[Yep, Sora is suddenly much more impressed! But now that there's an opening for both of them, he'll jump down onto the ground with ease and run over to meet her]

Yeah, good idea!

[ Consider her impressed, too - you're not quite just human, are you, kid...?

Regardless, yes! Running now! Just in case that bear moves around the wall and sees them again (oh god please no dfjslka ) ]
