Okay. Jump as far as you can, and use your speed the instant you touch down. As soon as you run out, change direction and use it again- Your goal is for the bear to lose sight of you. Once that's done, double back a bit on your own path and climb another tree. The bear should follow the trail you left and go straight past you, letting you get down and get away while it's going the other way.
