I did. It was quite the experience, though I'm just as glad they'd set aside the Green Museum as a quiet area. I found it vibrant, if at times overwhelming.

Oh yeah, I heard there was a place full of flowers. I did not actually manage to get around to that though. Mmm! But Margaery wanted me to ask you if it was possible to have flowers like that on the ship. I guess she's from a place full of floral gardens. [And no, Kitty didn't fully understand why she was the go-between here. It's not like she's Captain's favorite. Unless she is. She would be such a good favorite.]

Oh, it's most certainly possible with the right materials. Sunlight can be imitated by full-spectrum fluorescents. The limiting factor in our current situation would be soil. At present I have only the dusty moon's soil and that from Arslae. I haven't taken any samples from this moon [yet] due to its toxicity.

I'm guessing buying healthy soil here would be a lot like trying to buy food. [Limited and expensive.] Can't some flowers grow in just water? Not that we necessarily just have those lying around everywhere either.

We can work on that -- if we manage to synthesize ice cream, we should definitely be able to whip up soil.

[It's a bit more complex than that, but he nods. There are certainly some people here with extraordinary abilities, if they'd care to dedicate them to growing plants.]

Yes, hydroponics are viable to an extent. The Iskaulit has a fair crop of lettuce grown that way, I believe. It's the seeds or sprouts that are more difficult to find in general.

[He actually has a terrarium in his room with some tainted air and soil and water for plants from this room, but he prefers to keep them separate from not only the other plants but from the ship at large. The last thing anyone needs is Officer Snuggles to get sick from the wrong kind of snack.]

There's always a trick to it. Well, I wanted to pass the message along anyway. Apparently, she's from a world where fathers, husbands, or brothers usually arrange meetings, so she hasn't adjusted for that entirely.

Ah--well, I'm quite aware there are some inherently illogical aspects to the universe at large, much less the multiverse. I'm equally aware there are cultures with the capacity to engineer such marvels.

However, I'm also afraid the ones I'm familiar with have no idea what a pizza is. Perhaps they need to be educated.

That sounds like a job for me. I'm fresh out of having any kind of direction in life. [She says it lightly, but well, it's kind of a problem for her. She just isn't actually worried about it at the moment because she had a very good night.] Might as well give pizza seminars.

That is a vital public service. The more people know about it, the likelier one of them is to figure out how to make it.
