[He sits down and gestures for them to do the same if they like; he has a cup of green tea, since it doesn't particularly matter to him if he has the coffee or not.]

Oh yeah, I heard there was a place full of flowers. I did not actually manage to get around to that though. Mmm! But Margaery wanted me to ask you if it was possible to have flowers like that on the ship. I guess she's from a place full of floral gardens. [And no, Kitty didn't fully understand why she was the go-between here. It's not like she's Captain's favorite. Unless she is. She would be such a good favorite.]

Highgarden. [ he nods, already trying to figure out how best to do that - margaery seems really attached to her family, as a girl her age should be. it's be great to give her a little taste of home to carry around. ] The one problem here would be sunlight, wouldn't it? [ which - they're already working on. once they get project plato done - he could make a little lamp for margaery too, to care for her flowers. ]

[ said somewhat distractedly, as he tries to work out if all he needs to get kara's powers back is just -- more fluorescents. ]

Yes, hydroponics are viable to an extent. The Iskaulit has a fair crop of lettuce grown that way, I believe. It's the seeds or sprouts that are more difficult to find in general.
[He actually has a terrarium in his room with some tainted air and soil and water for plants from this room, but he prefers to keep them separate from not only the other plants but from the ship at large. The last thing anyone needs is Officer Snuggles to get sick from the wrong kind of snack.]

There's always a trick to it. Well, I wanted to pass the message along anyway. Apparently, she's from a world where fathers, husbands, or brothers usually arrange meetings, so she hasn't adjusted for that entirely.
no subject
Really? She seemed pretty adjusted to me - [ she pretty much insisted they meet in person. had he resisted, he suspects she wouldn't be above bullying him if it was something she really wanted. ]
no subject
Thank you, then. I'll see what I can do.
no subject
Sure. If there's anything I can do to help let me know? A little more color around here wouldn't hurt. And I'm all for knowing how everything works.

[ because you know what winn's life is sorely missing right now? another project! ]

A pizza...plant?
[That's not how pizza works.]

You can't tell me that in an entire multiverse one can't possibly exist. [Well, you could, but you'd break hearts.]

However, I'm also afraid the ones I'm familiar with have no idea what a pizza is. Perhaps they need to be educated.

[ nodding super seriously. pizza is a great direction in life. ]

[Finding cheese and tomato sauce might be a challenge, but what's life without a challenge?]
no subject
But thank you. [Her captain, always so thoughtful and generous.]

You mean there's something you can't do?
