One of the merchant traders had a device made for use with nanomachines, and I'd wondered if it might be able to communicate with yours.

Oh, sure! Um. Do you need to hook it in? [She sweeps her hair aside to show the port on the back of her neck, peeping out of her collar.]

Oh! And by the way, who was the cute girl you were at the ball with? You guys looked great.

I doubt its format is compatible yet, but perhaps I can construct an adapter. There should be a wireless component, though. If you could hold out your hand?

[He's definitely not blushing because he has maroon skin, but his smile looks a little nervous.]

Ah, that was Wanda Maximoff. I believe she's the only one left who remembers me from home.

[She drops her hair back down.] Okay, sure. [She holds her hand out.]

You should introduce her around some time, she seems nice. [As in obviously, if she's Vision's friend, she must be an A+ person.] I'm glad you have someone from home! Is she a friend, or do you like her?

[He holds the device against the skin of her hand, and it beeps once.]

I do like her. She's a teammate and good friend. Her powers can present difficulty for some, however, so it hasn't been easy for her to become close to other people. Perhaps she would like to visit, then.

Awesome! I hope this will help Beverly out, then.... [She wants this to either be working or done. The not knowing drives her nuts.]

[Hrm.] Like her or like like her? [Clarity is important Vision, gosh.] Why, what's the deal with her powers? Unless they make her like... stinky... I don't know why that would make it hard to make friends? But I also don't have powers, so what the fuck do I know.

[It's still scanning, but that it recognizes them in the first place is promising.

She can draw forth and manipulate destructive energy, and she's capable of sensing and influencing thoughts and emotions. Alone, either would be enough to unsettle most humans. Together, they tend to cause a base reaction of fear.

Oh. Um. Well, there's different kind of likes. There's like someone like a friend, and like someone like more than a friend. And that can be like them more emotionally, or like them cause you wanna fuck them, or both. Does that make more sense?

That sounds really cool! And useful. Is she really effective?

Ah. In that case, I'd consider her someone I do have strong emotions for, but not in a romantic fashion. [Even though he totally asked her on a date.] And, ah, I've still no desire for any kind of sexual relationship.

She's still working to understand and control them. Some months back, her augment glitched and she was unintentionally causing nightmares to those around her. She was concerned, believing it was the fault of her own unbalanced emotions rather than an outside influence.

[Well, there's that other verse where she's Charles' boyfriend's daughter...actually that includes every verse except the two these are from. Hmm.] Not that I'm aware of, though it wouldn't surprise me. Kitty knew a different version of her from her own timeline, as did Kate Bishop, if you've met her.

Ah. That really sucks. You know, she should talk to Charles. He wants to make a special school so he can help people like him learn to use their powers, back at his home. So I bet he'd be able to help her. And he taught me how to play chess. He's really patient and a good teacher. [In her opinion, if you can teach her a smart person thing, you can do anything.]

I haven't met Kate Bishop. All this different version stuff is... really confusion.

No doubt. Should I fall in love, I'm sure you'll be the first to know. [Lawl he thinks that'll be never.]

Yes? Perhaps I should talk to this Charles myself. Did you learn which ship he's on? [Wanda could use some guidance, it's true, but he also doesn't want to steer her wrong if he can help it.]

Yes, it's quite a lot to keep track of. Apparently there's another Vision who also goes by "Jonas" she knows.

Yay! I promise I'm good at keeping secrets as long as you tell me they're supposed to be secret.

[He twitches a grin at that.] Then if it is secret, I'll be certain to tell you that as well.

Yes. She referred to several different "models". I wonder if I'm not more cybernetic there, akin to a true android rather than using it as a phrase of convenience. [And it would be quite interesting to meet another Vision, he thinks....]

It's always better to clearly define security levels so everyone understands their responsibilities and tasks.

Tell me what you think when you do talk to him okay? [She's starting to develop enough self preservation about things to know it's good to have people double check her assumptions and impressions. It's a way to calibrate, if nothing else. She's known Vision a lot longer than she's known Charles.]

There's probably no way of knowing unless one of them comes here. I hope the other yous are as nice as the actual you.

I shall. Helping others learn to use their abilities is a noble goal, especially when they come in such a great variety as one finds here.

Sort of? There were a few people that hung around a bit, but I mostly just went around by myself. I got to meet Charles, though, and he was really nice. And Kurt! Finally got to meet him and kissed and stuff him because he's a hottie. And...

[Okay, this is the part where she blushes.] And. Um. Winter asked me to dance. Which was really sweet of him. One of the slow dances. And said I looked nice.

[Well, that's amusing. Wrath is always good for a story. His expression sharpens at the mention of "Winter", though.]

Winter. From the Heron? I didn't know you were acquainted.

Yeah, we've been friends for...a while. He's nice. He says a lot without needing to talk, like Maine. And I taught him how to make snow angels.

I didn't know that you knew him but I think a lot of purple know him. He's a good guy. Why do you say he'd know how to dance well?

I'm given to understand Winter exists in my timeline, though I've yet to encounter him there. He was one of those Captain Rogers spoke of as someone he would go out dancing with in his youth. I'm glad to hear he's retained that skill.
