[The night has finally come--the Gravity Rush is nearly upon us! What normally serves as a large performance hall has been gutted, emptied of its boring furniture and rigged up into a fantastical mismatch of technology and old culture. No matter where you go tonight, you're encouraged to move around, dance, play games, whatever helps you sleep in late tomorrow morning.

If you aren't one for scurrying around a ballroom all night, there's always plenty of people-watching to do. After all, so many people are wearing extravagant costumes and elaborate masks. How can you even tell who is who? Get lost in a crowd of sequins, chatter with a sun and a moon, or try to beat the guy in the monster-mask at a game of cards. Meet your friends or make some new ones--this masquerade party has begun!]

When else do we get to do this? Dance and dress up, I mean.

[experiencepoints]

[TEASING BACKFIRE. TEASING BACKFIRE. ABORT MISSION, SEND HELP.]

It- It wasn't actually all that rare for me, at home. It's not like it's unusual to do this sort of thing.

Really? I never got to do it. If I ever went to a party, it was usually as security.

[experiencepoints]

Oh... I guess that makes sense, huh? It doesn't sound like the Jedi would be very big on those sorts of things, from what you've said.

[resnipstance]

Not really. If something ever needed celebrating, it was more likely there'd be a ceremony than a party. Or if it wasn't big enough to warrant a ceremony, you might do something small with your clan or your master, like go somewhere special to eat, or pass on a personal tradition or item.

Parties like this are seen as a waste of resources.

[experiencepoints]

They definitely are that, but... This is still fun enough to be worth it, I think. This one's way better than the ones in my world.

[resnipstance]

It's not so bad every once in a while, no.

I don't think I could do it all the time, though.

[experiencepoints]

I don't think anyone could. They get boring fast, and you can't even bring a book or anything.

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka chuckles even as she dances]

You'd really bring a book to an event like this?

[experiencepoints]

Well, yeah? These things weren't fun.

[resnipstance]

But there are so many cool people to talk to!

Trust me, they're only cool when you're not one of them.

What do you mean?

... I mean, if I explain, I'll kind of ruin these things for you.

[resnipstance]

No offense, but that sounds kinda dumb if you ask me.

You're having a good time tonight so far, right?

[experiencepoints]

... I'm having a good time because of the people from the Fleet.

[resnipstance]

Exactly! As long as you go with people you like, what's the problem?

[experiencepoints]

... Well, I guess so.

[you are cute but you have no idea how this works huh]

That's the spirit.

[She sees someone else across the room twirl their partner around in time with the music, and she grins. Then after a beat, Ahsoka is raising her hand for Nightingale to indicate the same.]

[experiencepoints]

[She laughs a little.]

If that's what you're after, you're going to have to lead, since you're that much taller than me.

[She's short and it's terrible.]

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka laughs as well.]

That's what I was aiming for. You gotta live a little, right?

[experiencepoints]

Well, then. By all means.

[She lets Ahsoka lead, and is... immediately and obviously more comfortable following than leading.]

[Ahsoka grins and twirls Nightingale around a bit in time with the music, before bringing her in again.]
