[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

My sister killed my aunt? My uncle is trying to kill everyone on Earth? There's a thing a human invented that basically makes me evil Kara? I don't know, Kitty.

I was being dumb about it. Winn's entirely inconsequential drama feels a lot more manageable than everything else.

Most of it's pretty related, though. My uncle is trying to kill everyone on Earth. It tends to lead to things.

Why does your uncle want to kill everyone? And did you know your uncle was alive before? [Because she only remembers hearing about her cousin.] Is this your cousin's father?

No, definitely not my cousin's father. Non's wife is my mother's twin, Astra. She was working with him but... Alex killed her so.

Anyway. Non's just crazy. Who knows why he's doing what he's doing.

He might be easier to predict if you could get inside his mind. Which I mean in more of a profiling way and less of a telepath way, but either really.

He claims he wants to stop what happened on Krypton from happening on Earth, but I guess his method is to just take people out of the equation.

I guess that's one way to solve a problem... I'm sorry. Were you ever close to them?

Yeah. I was close to Astra on Krypton... we spent a lot of time together, and I admired her greatly. I believe she and my mother were close before their... differences in opinions.

What kind of differences were they? [It sounds like it could have been pretty extreme?]

Krypton... it died because we overmined the core. Astra knew this, and my mother refused to hear it.

That...doesn't sound like the start of genocidal tendencies.

I don't know all the details. But Astra and Non were sent to prison—my mother was the chief judicator—and the prison came to Earth with me from the Phantom Zone.

An entire prison of superpowered inmates?

I mean, my parents have had better ideas. But yes.

They're all aliens, and not all had power under Krypton's sun. Astra and Non, like me, were equivalent to humans.

So, it must have been easy for them to break out with a crash landing or suddenly having powers that weren't accounted for. That's a lot to deal with. I guess you couldn't as a kid though.
