[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

I'm thinking about biological at the moment. Adopted families are, obviously, extremely important. But... different, too.

Mm, they are. Then, it's just my parents, back in Illinois.

I had no idea my aunt was still alive until she attacked me. I thought I'd lost... everyone, besides Kal-El.

Aunt Astra knew the dangers, but my mother wouldn't heed her, and when Astra went outside of the law to try to save everyone, my mother sent her and Non to prison.

I'm - I'm sorry, Kara. [that had to be rough to learn about] But I don't . . . understand why your aunt would attack you.

The prison was Fort Roz, and it got stuck with me in the Phantom Zone. When I got free and came to Earth, so did it. That's why the DEO was created—to deal with the escapees of that.

Astra and Non... they had it in their heads, I think, that they would save Earth from the same fate as Krypton. Unfortunately, that would mean taking humans out of the equation...

Obviously, I'm going to be on the side of humanity. They saw this as a betrayal of family and species.

[it's always humanity at stake, isn't it. Somehow, some way]

I'm glad you're on humanity's side. But I'm sorry it had to be against family.

I wish it didn't have to be that. Astra... still cared. She could've been brought back into Rao's light. But Non... Non just needs to be stopped.

I'm sorry it came to that. [he sighs out and winces a little] I wish I knew - what else I could say. No one should have to go through that. With family.

It was easier when I thought they'd all died the first time. Is that wrong? It feels wrong to say.

[the hug tightens for a moment, before he draws back enough to look at her]

I know. But if they do, you won't have to deal with it alone. Right? You have Winn here, and Kitty and I would be right there, too.

You're welcome. I know how - worrying it is, that in worlds like this, that - you still may have to deal with things you already did back home.

I would like to think she would make different choices under different circumstances.
