[ There's not a whole lot going on directly outside the building, since most of the guests are excited to get out of the toxic air and into the party rooms beyond... But if you're waiting for a friend, a date, or maybe hesitating about whether you want to go in at all, this is where you'll start.

There are several costumed people outside checking to make sure that everyone has a mask--you won't be let in without one! There are also vendors on the front steps selling cheap little masks (both decorative and air-filtering) for any last-minute shoppers. ]

[This performance hall is part of an old, historic building. Dating back to a time before the persistent grime and pollution, the wooden floor has seen the shuffling of many feet during its life. Now, the old hall has been dressed up for the celebration, draped in expensive geometric tapestries and glittering garland. The ceiling has been rigged up with a digital display screen, making it look as though a colorful nebula is swirling gently above the crowd. A large, antique chandelier in the middle catches its light, refracting it back in fleeting little rainbows all over the room.

Guests who walk in may find themselves swept up in a sea of costumed people--natives in all kinds of strange outfits are dancing, mingling, and moving from one end of the hall to the other. A live band is playing a range of classical and more fast-paced, electric beats, which means the dance of the moment may be anything from a slow waltz to bouncing along with the crowd near the musicians.

For those who aren't really interested (or for anyone who needs a break), there are comfortable chairs and couches grouped together along the far wall of the ballroom. Whether you're lounging around with your friends or just trying to escape the crowd, a friendly server may come by to offer you some filtered water or a tiny cheese snack.]

[ This moon may have been rather disappointing in the food department so far... But anyone who makes a bee-line for the snack table (you know who you are) will probably be pleasantly surprised!

After all, this is the day where everyone in the city cracks open their "for a special occasion" foods in celebration. Several long tables near the entrance are covered in plates of bite-sized morsels, and everyone is welcome to help themselves. Your choices include tiny cheeses, crackers, dried meats, picked vegetables, pickled fruits, pickled... pickles... And a number of fancy proteins in a variety of fun flavors, all of which are of a much higher quality than whatever the protein machines back on your ships make.

For those looking for drinks, there are a couple of punch bowls on the end--though they're being carefully watched by a party representative who will serve you up a cup if you ask for it. Sorry kids--no spiking the punch this evening.

However, if you'd like to purchase an alcoholic beverage, they are available at their own table. Again, the servers will be keeping an eye out and cut anyone off who might be becoming belligerent--but until then, the option is there. ]

[ If dancing really isn't your scene, maybe you'll have a better time in here! Located in one of the side-rooms of the performance hall, they've turned the space into a sort of games lounge for anyone who wants to engage in a little friendly competition.

Around two-dozen board games have been set up on tables in the middle--most of which look kind of like the board games you'd find on Earth, but with different names, rules, and pieces. There are also plenty of people playing card games, throwing darts at dartboards along the wall, playing something that looks kind of like shuffleboard, or crowding around the line of cheesy pinball machines at the back of the room (which are free to play, by the way!). ]

[ Another side-door in the ballroom leads to something called the "green museum". Curious visitors are welcome to enter, though a party representative will warn them to please watch their step--as they wouldn't want any of their rare plants or insects to be accidentally stepped on.

The green museum is a huge, beautifully-constructed set of rooms used to preserve species of flora and fauna in the hopes that they may one day be re-introduced to the moon's ecosystem. The walls are made of curved glass and held together with gently-sloping metal bars, giving it the appearance of a gigantic bird cage.

Plants of all shapes and sizes have been strategically planted to copy how they would grow in nature... So guests are welcome to wander the paths between green, leafy trees, or have a sit-down on a cushioned bench in any of the beautiful flower patches along the way. The space is dimly-lit by strings of hanging lights, but fireflies and small, faintly-glowing moths are also helping illuminate the area. ]

[Lastly, there is a set of stairs at the far end of the room that leads to an outdoor balcony (after a quick decontamination scan, of course).

It's pretty empty compared to the rest of the party; most of the guests up here have just stepped out for a quick smoke, or are trying to get away from the noise for a minute. Like with the rest of the moon, passengers shouldn't stay out here for very long without some kind of a gas mask or respirator.

This spot has a nice view of the city, though. You can even see a little bit of the ocean from here, where the first licks of smog are starting to swirl at the surface... The phenomenon won't affect anyone at this distance, but it's a striking sight none-the-less.]

Ballroom
[There's going to be a lot of dancing tonight. Fortunately, for you and Kitty she has the energy and stamina for it. She might just pull you into a dance if you don't step up on your own! She's also attending with her boyfriend, Winn. So, don't be surprised if you see her going back to him between dances with others.]

Snacks
[Even heroes get hungry! She's pretty excited about the slightly better quality food. That's sad, isn't it? She hasn't bothered with the alcoholic selections tonight, but punch is a nice refresher after so much dancing.]

Wildcard
[She hasn't really bothered with the other rooms much, preferring to dance and snack, but that doesn't mean she won't give them a peek.]

Mm, I can understand that. I like my crew a lot, but from what I can tell we're one of the more confining ships in the fleet. Though there are still plenty I haven't visited.

Are you claustrophobic or just not a fan of tiny and cramped spaces?

[Her voice is low and gentle. She can understand that feeling. Who can't? Even before her powers kicked in she was always the smartest kid in the room. That doesn't make people like you. It makes people avoid you at best.] Everyone's different, Sascha. It doesn't mean you won't find your place and your people to fit in with and feel at home with.

[ She's at least got others like her though; other mutants, other humans... Sascha's a pariah even among what he considers to be his own kind. ]

[She takes the cup and slides over to stand closer to Winn as if to give him some silent support and hopefully relax him.] I'll have you both know I could totally pull those colors off [She couldn't and she knows it.] and if I want to wear them again I would. Bigby and Kitty don't really care who or what he is, they still spend time with him. In different ways granted, but they're still there for him when he comes back at the end of the day. Night. [She nods, pulling out her mask and putting it back on. It helps her a little bit, to have something more tangible to hide behind.]

[Felix arrives to the masquerade arm-in-arm with Crowley, making the gaudy splash of color he's arrayed himself in stand out all the more against the demon's usual somber black. He is a literal peacock this evening, the patterned coat and vest he wears resplendent in brilliant blue and green, stark against his black leather trousers. His mask is an elegant affair in blue and gold, framed by his deep red hair. His ever-present gold and garnet rings seem as incongruous as his curls, but rather tie in the winding gold, green, scarlet, and azure vines tattooed on his hands.

It's clear that he's finally in his element. The beautiful hall, the music, the dancing, the absolute grandiose ostentatious of it all is absolutely everything he might have wanted and everything he has missed from his old life. The memory doesn't hold him down like it once might have, but rather buoys him, lifting him out of his worries and into the spirit of the evening. It's a sharper, brighter, even more outgoing version of himself, one that might have once been edged, but tonight it's almost entirely genuine.

He carries himself with confidence as he moves through the crowd. He doesn't stay at his lover's side at all times, especially when there's so many people here to meet. He will dance with anyone that asks (and he shows skill at least in the technical dances) and talk to everyone he meets, even if it's simply a bright smile followed by an equally bright--]
