Well if that's the cook's recommendation- yeah! A couple slices of sausage, please.

[And indeed, he cuts a couple of slices of sausage, just as Allen asked, and folds them into one of the omelettes. Add some cheese, some potatoes and bacon kelp, and that one's all done!
He knows that Allen's appetite is particularly special though, so when Clay eventually sets the plate down for Allen, he'll find that there are actually six omelettes piled on top of each other rather than the usual one he would serve to anyone else.]
And brunch is served!
[With a kiss to the top of Allen's head, Clay goes to sit at the opposite side of the table, waiting for Allen's judgement. Hopefully, this will help him slowly move past whatever holds him back from a major food group.]

[When Clay sets down the plate, his eyes light up as they always do and he smiles brightly, even more so as he realizes there's six omelettes on this plate instead of one. He hadn't asked for six, Clay had just known.]
Thank you.
[He picks up the fork and knife at the table. As he poke his fork into the first omelette, he hesitates a little. He knows there's meat in there, he requested it. And like usual, he feels the pangs of worry that he's had ever since that week with the Eclipse. But...it's a little quieter today, muffled by the knowledge that he's actually getting better, that the 14th wasn't something he had to constantly fear anymore]
[Today was a new beginning right? He had promised to always keep walking, and there was no sense in hauling along old fears from his past on his path, not when they weren't necessary anymore. And it wasn't like he was biting into a giant rare steak that was dripping blood- honestly, he couldn't even see the sausage among the rest of the other ingredients. A good first step.]
[So he smiles to himself as he makes his resolve and takes that first bite. He chews slowly, he swallows. He takes a second bite, faster this time. Soon enough, he's eating at his usual eager pace, and making the pleased noises along with it. Because man, these are good omelettes.]

But then Allen takes a second bite, then a third, and then more, until he's eating at his usual pace, and those happy sounds that Clay had been listening for can be heard again. He gives a big smile in return, feeling a sense of pride not only in himself, but in Allen. He isn't sure what made him decide to go vegetarian in the first place, what caused him to associate fear with eating meat, but he dared to step past it, and now he's eating it just like any other food.
He's so proud of him, and touched, too. That Allen trusted Clay to help be his first step into letting that fear go, that he gets to be part of this. He sips his coffee - just the way he likes it, but he can't help watching Allen eat up, too. Another good meal served.]
How is it?
[The omelettes, yes, but also how Allen's feeling about all of this.]

Ah, it's really delicious!
[Yep going back to eating more yep yep]
