[ It's obvious that she's quickly on the defensive, pushing herself up and making sure she has room to move if she needs it. It's not as though she wants to appear particularly dangerous but she can't quite help herself - instinct has her protecting her back and making sure she has escape routes before she even considers looking at the person in front of her. It's only when he actually steps into view that she relaxes for a moment, forcing her tension to one side so she can actually speak to him.
