[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

One of the other Avengers who isn't present--Thor--is also an alien who appears human. May I ask why you're on Earth?

You asked me why I went to Earth, I think? The short answer is that my mother sent me.

Interesting. Thor's father sent him, initially as a punishment. When he returned, it was as a friend to us. How have you liked it?

It... isn't anything like that. My planet died. My aunt and uncle sent my cousin, then an infant, to Earth, and my parents sent me, at 13, to watch over him. He made it to Earth before me and was an adult by the time I arrived.

But a really great family adopted me. I love it there. Krypton will always be where I'm from, but I'm comfortable calling Earth my home, too.

I'm so sorry.

[To lose your whole planet and everyone you knew would be a terrible tragedy. But she certainly looks older than thirteen (not that he looks his own age), so perhaps it wasn't recent.]

I am glad you can call it your home. It's my home as well, and it's my friends that make it such.

It's difficult, and I wish it hadn't happened, but I've had such a wonderful life, and yeah, it's definitely the people that make it good. Winn in particular is a great friend, and my sister Alex is everything. I'd say I wish she were here, but I don't know that I'd want to subject her to all this.

That's an excellent attitude to have.

[And boy does he know that about wanting friends around without necessarily wishing they were here.]

It would be a relief if we could have communication with our homes, but that would rather negate the idea of time standing still thee while we're here, wouldn't it?

It would. But it'd still be nice.

Who would you talk to?

[In lieu of a direct answer, he gestures her over to a large tank in the cargo bay near where the cake is set up. It's filled with kelp and algae, but there are also glowing fish from the ocean planet they'd visited in the summer.]

Do you see the fish? There are four of them, one for each who contributed to my creation. The red is for Mr. Stark, who recently arrives here. The yellow is for JARVIS, from whom I take my voice and mannerisms. The blue is Ultron, who tried to use my body as his own and was destroyed when he tried to cause a major extinction event.

[Which leaves one, a large green fish that swims over curiously.]

I never exchanged more than a handful of words with Dr. Banner before he disappeared. I'd very much like to know him better.

They're amazing. Where did you get them?

And... can I asked why you named one after someone who tried to destroy the world?

One of the planets we visited last year was mostly ocean, dotted with islands. They're used as a light source there, and in fact they did come in handy when we later had a power outage. The kelp is from the same planet and I'm told it tastes of bacon.

[Yep. Gotta love the bacon kelp.]

My name has another origin. They were to destroy me before I had awakwned, believing Ultron had fully corrupted me, but Thor [that same guy he talked about before] had a vision. He saw that chaos would follow this stone, [he gestures to his forehead] the Mind Stone, unless I were allowed to bear it. He awakened and named me.

Okay, first of all, I'm super jealous you went there. I need a beach planet like a lot.

Secondly—I'm glad you ended up being good and not being destroyed.

Atroma even provided us with swimsuits. You'd have liked it, I think.

[What a nice thing to say. He smiles brilliantly at her.]

But I have to admit I still don't know why you named the fish that.

He is one of my creators, like it or not. It's a reminder of my origins.

Okay, that makes sense.

Did the beach planet have a yellow sun?

It did. Wrath, my first mate, painted some beautiful pictures of the sunsets. I think there may be one or two aboard the Iskaulit.

I'm sure they're very nice.

I kind of get my powers from the sun.

[He tilts his head, curious.]

May I ask what powers those are? Must it be a yellow sun?

It does have to be a yellow sun, and a certain distance, too. The one here is a little too far away, but I still have access to some of my powers. Those include strength, flight, invulnerability, x-ray vision, heat vision, ice breath, super hearing, super speed...

[ trying to decide if she's left any out but decides that maybe giving everyone a detailed list of her abilities isn't always necessary ]
