[If anyone ever had a doubt that Tyrion Lannister likes to keep himself occupied, today would be the day that he put all doubts to rest. His fingers flick against the side of his camera as he is reaching for a book. Which is good, because he's got three open now. He frowns at one paragraph, then pushes off with his chair - with wheels, fascinating things these.

Then he was picking up a screwdriver, turning to a tank that looked a great deal like the displays at the Green Museum, twisting a brace into place, eying it, then rolling back across the floor to check on the panels for the engine. He picked up a clipboard, put down the screwdriver and exchanged it for pencil while he marked off a few things on a list, then pushed himself off to roll back to his desk, where he flipped a page on his second book, muttering quietly to himself.]

'This means that the center of mass of the arrow–where gravity acts–is further forward than the center of pressure–where aerodynamic forces act. This results in the aerodynamic forces helping to stabilize the flight of the arrow.'

[He tapped the page, then pushed off again to his work-table, where a variety of weapons were lying on the surface, and plucked up the bow.] Yes, all right, that means I just need to change the density of the string and curve the bow a little more for the right amount of pressure per inch... good, good.

[He hummed as he put the bow back down, and reached underneath for his toolbox, singing softly to himself as he went through the varying strings he had gathered for said bow.]

I'm malicious, mean and scary

[Clearly, Tyrion is something of a workaholic, when he gets himself going.]

...Oh you really just want me to ask you for another hug, don't you?

[She looks at him, head tilting.] You don't have to ask, Tyrion.

[tallasaking]

[He looks at her for a long moment, before he simply opens his arms. This should be remarkably easier, now that he is on a stool.]

[passingthrough]

[She smiles softly and steps into his arms, curling hers around him. The stool definitely helps.] I was just thinking you'd come over to hug me, lazy. [Gently teasing and not in a hurry to let go.]

[tallasaking]

Now why wouldn't I want a beautiful woman come to me? [He smiled warmly, as he wraps his arms back around her and squeezes tight.]

Gotcha. Not lazy. Tricky. [It doesn't seem to bother her too much since she smiles and stays close. She may have forgotten how long a proper hug is even supposed to last.]

[tallasaking]

You are absolutely correct. I am quite tricky. [He whispers, hugging her even tighter.]

Should I be nervous? [Rubbing his back as they share the embrace.]

[tallasaking]

Never about me, my dear Kitty. [He squeezed her, resting his bearded chin.]

How are you doing, Tyrion? [It's not meant as casual chit chat. She really wants to know.]

[tallasaking]

I am feeling less alone. [He answers honestly.] But I am ... unsure of myself. Of whether or not I can trust myself, with my heart.

[passingthrough]

Oh, definitely not. Hearts make smart people do very stupid things. We're very good examples of that. [She should probably leave it here with her honest yet light-hearted thoughts on the subject. But a question still manages to follow.]

What do you want with your heart?

[tallasaking]

I truly hope we stop being good examples of what not to do with our hearts. [He stated dryly, before he stilled in her arms. Then he let out a tired chuckle.]

I want to fall in love, Kitty. Is that not what we all want? A love that will not stab us in the back. One that can endure.

[passingthrough]

[Maybe not everyone, but everyone in this room?] Yes. [She pulls back out of the hug.] I found Winn. [It might sound a little harsh in the moment when he's talking about wanting someone, but it feels like a moment when maybe they both need the reminder.] Your Winn could be on her way now.

[tallasaking]

[He looks up at her, before he looks at her pensively.] ... How did you know? With Winn, that he was ... well. your Winn. [The reminder there is clear, but he ... honestly wants to know what to look for. Or rather, what he should be feeling.]

[passingthrough]

I didn't at first. I mean, I liked him right away, but that happens sometimes. [Present company included, but also Vision, Kara, others.] And we had some things in common, but it wasn't really until he gave me the slinky.

...It's this child's toy. Just this long spring that you can play with. I can show you tomorrow if you want. But it's not that he gave me something or what it was. It's just that he was paying attention to all our silly little exchanges like the time we joked about them and he was thinking of me when I wasn't around and making me this basically useless thing that must have taken him forever to get right just to hopefully make me smile a little. I couldn't remember the last time someone did anything like that for me.

[She might have fallen partially for simply being wanted.]

He's sweet and thoughtful and smart and loyal. [A list not so different from one she might give for Tyrion.]

I still wasn't sure until we were sharing more personal stories. I told him about Piotr and he told me things.

[tallasaking]

[He looks at her, faintly puzzled but amused about the 'slinky', whatever it was. Yet it wasn't the object, wasn't it? It was the feeling behind it - it was being cared for that had captured her heart. And that was what he was so hungry for, wasn't it? To be cared for like that.

So it is someone who ... gives to me. Freely, and without thought to what they might gain.

I'm sure it's different for everyone, but that sounds like something that could work for you.

[tallasaking]

It most certainly does. Now I just have to find a woman who embodies all of that and I shall be set! Too easy, yes? [A faint smirk.]

[passingthrough]

Maybe you've already found her and you just haven't realized it yet. [And that was a dangerous comment.] Or maybe she'll be the next person The Atroma bring in. Moira was married to her world's Trask.] Or maybe someone back home because then you don't have to worry about them suddenly disappearing out of your life or waking up in love with someone else when they get new memories.

[tallasaking]

[He arched an eyebrow at her because Yes Kitty, that is a rather dangerous comment. They both play a little too much with fire it seems ...] Perhaps she will be. [Another pause, before his lips twitched.] Of the three women who are here from my world - one of them is the daughter of a man my nephew had killed, and her mother and brother were murdered by my father. The other one actually is married to my nephew, as lovely as she is I do believe she is vying for the other one. The last ..

[He paused, delicately, before saying softly.] Daenrys Taragyen is beautiful beyond measure, and every man who meets her falls in love with her. I have admired her from afar, and here. I do not think I am ... her type.

[She notices the eyebrow. Well deserved. She looks apologetic for a moment. She hadn't meant for it to sound leading, but it did.] Who is her type?

[tallasaking]

[He's not allowed to fall in love with you, Kitty. He is trying his damnedest not to.] Someone very pretty. I saw her husband and her lover - both of them very attractive men. I have met her ... ah, loyal knight as well. He is not very attractive, so that might explain why she did not take him as a lover.

[That would be complicated.]

She must have a very understanding husband to let her have a lover. [She assumes there is more to it.] How do you know her knight wanted to be with her like that?

[tallasaking]

Because he kidnapped me and dragged me down the river to be brought before her like a prize pig to win her favor back. [His tone was wry.] The joke is really on him - I was already on my way there.
