[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

[ His lips twitched. ] I was joking, but since you're indulging me, I'll have a brandy.

[ Then his expression goes a little more serious. ] We're fine for the most part. I think the Huntress has become a little more quiet of late. Han has left as well.

Oh well, if you're joking, full price. [Cheerful and shameless. HAH. Though she slows on the brandy pouring as he imparts that piece of news.]

...that can't have gone down well. I guess he never got to hold his race.

[Darn. She was kind of looking forward to that.]

It seems unlikely.

[ Han left Obi-Wan as the only pilot. Obi-Wan hates flying. ]

So it seems you've lost all the louder people. [Quiet, indeed. She slides the brandy across the bar.] I'm sorry, though. Did you know him well?

I did. We're from the same galaxy, though he was a little ahead of me.

[ It was strange, being on the Huntress now. Things certainly wouldn't fall apart if he's not around. It's not bad, but Obi-Wan misses the bustle of it. ]

I didn't realise. [Doubly hard to lose him, then; that common thread.]

It's the same for Koala and me. In my time she's an adult. She doesn't know, though.

[ He glances at her, surprised. ]

You've aged remarkably well then. I'm impressed.

[Nami blinks.]

Well, I'd hope so. There's only really ten years between us. I think if I were to meet her when I go home, she'd be the same age as me.

I didn't know that. So you're both from different points in time?

Yeah. I hadn't met her before the Fleet, but I'd heard all about her as she is now...

...it's complicated. We have allies that were on the crew that took her home safely as a child. [And enemies. The crew broke apart soon after, which is something she's never telling Koala.] In order to help us understand something in my time, we heard all about Koala's time as a slave. We're connected, in some ways, the two of us.

[So she feels responsible, vague explanations aside. It's a long story.]

[ He nods. ]

It must be strange, to see her like this.

It is. A little sad, too. [She frowns.] She got brought here before she ever made it home. This was more stress she didn't need.

[On the other hand, she thinks the Fleet might be good for her in a few ways.]

She has good crew here. And I notice she's doing a lot better than she was when she first got here. [She smiles briefly.] So thanks for that.

I don't think I did much there, but I'm happy to have helped.

[ Obi-Wan's experience with slavery was minute, but intense. He hasn't forgotten it. ]

[She smiles again. This time it stays.]

So what's your crew make-up now? I know Greed has long gone, and you've got an invisible captain...? Is that right?

Invisible . . . ? Oh you mean Mikleo. I forgot other people can't see him clearly.

I take it you can see him just fine? [She gives him a curious look.] Cole did say some can and some can't. I wonder what makes the difference.

Yes and no. I can make out his outline and he can communicate with me with no issues, but I don't see him very clearly.

You don't know why he's visible to you?

Oh, I know. I'm force-sensitive. We can make out what is unseen, what is hidden. Akin to the way magic behaves, I believe.

Force-sensitive...

[It's the first she's heard that. But given the minimal information she has it sounds a little familiar.]

I wonder if haki would work as well.

I'm not familiar with that term.

In our world, it's kind of... force of will, I guess. And you can wield it in different ways. Most of it wouldn't apply, but there's a particular application called observation haki.

[She cracks a wry smile.] Our chef practices that one. He can hear a girl scream in panic from the other side of an island, and he sees a lot more than anyone else can.

[ He nods. ]

It's possible. People with heightened senses should pick up what's unseen.

I'm probably not going to be seeing him any time soon. My senses definitely aren't heightened when it comes to people.

Can you hear him on the comms?

I believe anyone can. The technology allows for that, thankfully.
