[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

[Mikleo glances over at him, sizing him up carefully for a long moment.]

Mikleo. [drapes himself over mikleo to make walking more difficult] Do you really hate this snow globe so much? If it offends you, I can replace it with something else. I don't want something you hate in the shrine.

[When Sorey had started with that whine, Mikleo hadn't expected that. He shifts his weight to adjust for Sorey's sudden cling - it doesn't help much, but this isn't the first time this has happened - and reaches down to take the globe from Sorey's hand, scrutinizing it. Because of all the movement, the little tufts of "snow" are drifting within the globe, whirling freely around the dopey looking puppy contained within.

...Sigh.]

That's not... I don't hate it, I just can't take it seriously.

[And he doesn't take the shrine that seriously, either- it's not really his, Sorey's not praying to him, but- well, how is he supposed to feel? They traveled through dangerous ruins to fetch purified water for Uno back home. He's not on the level of a Lord of the Land, and he'd never want to be, but it's hard not to compare that to a plastic dog. Even if this offering is much more... Sorey-like.

Well... [takes the globe from Mikleo and tucks it into his pocket] Then we should replace it. I want the shrine to feel like an honor, not a joke. Will you help me pick something more suitable?

[Oh, geez. He should be glad for it, but now he just feels badly. Sorey really did work hard to put it all together, and it is more his than anyone else's. He can't take back the complaint now, but. Hngh.]

I'm not sure where we'd find something better. Why don't you leave it for now, and if we see anything next time the fleet stops somewhere, we can switch it out?

[That's. A good compromise, yes? The globe's been there this long, it surely can't hurt to wait.]

Hahaha! Well, I'll take your suggestion and put it back until we get something better. You're right; can't have an empty element in a seraph shrine.

Maybe we should add one for Gramps then. What encompasses lightning?

True, but that's more a Gramps thing than a lightning thing. Unless Gramps is the only lightning seraph? Come to think of it, I've never even heard of any others... [not even in the Celestial Record, which is odd. everything's in there!]

I haven't either... Gramps never mentioned specifics, but considering the rest of the continent was so focused on the main four elements, they must be incredibly rare.

[It wouldn't surprise him if that was the case. Gramps is old, older than anyone they know, and he's unique in a lot of ways.]

Well there are a few of those, right? Man, I wish there was more information on seraphim! Even in all the ruins we've found, there are hardly any records...

But that's okay. We're going to fix that. And after a few years of seraphim and humans living in the same places together, humans will start developing resonance again.

Sometimes. [And it's true. Maybe it's because the seraphim see into people's hearts, but he always feels a little weird when people praise him just for being him. Though maybe 'stubborn enough to change things' isn't usually praise, it definitely is in Mikleo-speak.]
