[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

Is that why you wept? [He still feels really bad about this.]

I wept for many things. Not only for you, but for this. For time. For myself, a little.

Why grieve? I am still here. Your Loki will take his place back sooner rather than later. [Just trying to get himself used to the notion.]

Yes, but you will not be here. How could I not grieve?

We cannot both exist. [He's not happy about it, but he's trying to come to terms with it. It's easier with repetition.

He hesitates, then offers:] Would it be better for you to enjoy me while I am here, or have me away so that you do not grow any more attached?

[ Leto is always attached. Always in too deep. It didn't matter if he sent Quaestio away. Leto can see the end of all things in his mind's eye. ]

Let us make the most of what we have than to dismiss it.

All right. [He'd rather do what would cause the least harm in his wake. It just feels better. But this will answer questions for him as well.

So he gives Leto's hand a soft squeeze.]

[ He reaches out to brush Loki's hair back with a hum. ]

[That's nice. No doubt Loki would be used to such gesture. This experience, even of such a small thing, is unique to him. It makes him smile, ducking his chin.]

Why do you hide?

[ He places his hand under Loki's chin, tilting his head up. ]

[He doesn't resist. He hadn't felt like he was hiding, really. The reaction had been more automatic.] That felt nice. [He thankfully doesn't really know to be embarrassed by lack of knowledge or experience yet; no one's instilled that in him. ]

[ He hums, threading his fingers in Loki's hair until it trails down his neck and spine. ]

Touch has always been my fondest detail. I'm not as sensitive as I used to be, but I remember it well and my remembrance brings forth the emotion.

[Even nicer, he thinks. He arches his neck a little into that touch, unselfconscious. He listens to what Leto says, however, turning it over in his mind.]

Whom do you remember, then?

Many people. My experiences are numerous.

I feel... jealous. Is that strange?

Not at all.

[ Though Leto has never felt the sting of jealousy himself. He cups Loki's jaw to press a kiss to his chin, cheek and ear, nosing their faces together. ]

[That proves a very good distraction; being kissed is far more pleasant than contemplating the sensation of jealousy. One hand rests on Leto's elbow, the other sliding through his hair--he finds he likes Leto's hair, the way it feels under his fingers. And he breathes out a happy, slightly unsteady little sigh. What a feast of new things this is.]

[ This isn't new to Leto, not by far. He has every experience, every touch, every moment catalogued in his mind. For him, this wasn't special.

Except for that feeling of being wanted, being needed, being loved. Leto loves fragrantly and easily. It's always there, in the crinkle of his eyes when he talks to someone. He basks in it, fiercely supports the beating of the heart. It did not matter if he was loved in turn.

( but he is weak to it. ) ]

[He doesn't know enough yet to love or even need, but want is something very elemental. And he finds himself wanting very quickly. How could he not? First experiences are powerful and arresting things. And now, he doesn't know to be shy, or concerned with the power dynamics of being the one who wants. All he knows is that he wishes to move closer to Leto, so he does, or kiss him, so he does.]

[ What a thrill it is. Leto never ceases to be surprised when people ignore the wormskin. Granted, most people don't understand the implications of it. As for the skin, it hums and hisses quietly. The Worm isn't used to touch, but it is a firm lover of warmth. ]

You're a quick learner.

[He isn't nearly as warm as he ought to be, probably; jotun blood flows like ice, though he doesn't realize it as something that makes him foreign. And the wormskin... another advantage offered to him by his lack of knowledge; he doesn't know enough to find it troubling or all that odd, not when everything is effectively odd and thus fascinating.

He smiles crookedly.]

I wished to be closer, thus have I moved.

[He strokes the line of Leto's jaw with his thumb.]

[ He leans into it, his eyes hooded. ]

And where will you move to?

I do not yet know. As far as I may, I think. So that I will see the shape of all boundaries. [More useful information, waiting to be tested. He watches Leto with a certain amount of fascination, because that is another sort of sensation, to touch someone and watch them enjoy it. Experimentally, he kisses the angle of Leto's jaw.]

I hope you see it soon then.

[ He tilts his face to that with a soft sigh. ]

[He frowns slightly, not entirely certain of the meaning. Better to ask, he thinks, and then he will know.] Do you mean that I move too slowly? [It isn't as if he knows what he's doing, here.]
