Hey you. Ready to learn some new moves?
no subject
Hey, you're back to being big again! That was kinda weird.
[But sure enough, he's ready to run another round of practice. Probably.]
no subject
[She's faintly embarrassed.]
Here. We're going to do something different from drills today. Catch.
[She throws him a strip of cloth.]
no subject
Uh, okay. What do you want me to do?
no subject
Have you been keeping up with your meditation?
no subject
[He looks unsure, but ties it around his eyes anyway.]
Yeah, in the mornings. Hard not to fall asleep though.
no subject
Don't worry so much about your form for today. Just do what feels natural-- you've been practising enough, I think the form will follow.
Come on. Opening stance.
no subject
And at first he does all right. They have been practicing enough that as long as she sticks to one of the patterns they've worked on, he has no trouble at all - he's learned his basics well. As soon as she goes off-pattern, though, he stumbles.]

So when Finn decides to emerge, Pinkie's waiting a little bit outside, looking quite concerned.]
Hey, Finn. Are you okay?
no subject
You saw that, huh?
no subject
no subject
Yeah. There was someone on the network I didn't want to see, that's all.
no subject
So he's from your world?
no subject
From my time, yeah. He's--
[genocidal isn't a concept he wants to get into with a pony, so he shakes his head]
--don't let on that you know me, if you ever talk to him. He's the kind of person who would hurt you to get at me.

Kitchen time.
[Dang that is one serious tone for her.]

What have you made from our rations this time?
[He sounds amused, tired though he is, peering around the dark-skinned man's arm to see.]
no subject
[Finn looks tired himself, almost on the brink of exhaustion, which probably explains his simple choice today.]
Meat-texture bacon strips with cheddar gel dip. Kind of salty, though.
no subject
[Curiously, he reaches out to take one of the strips and dip to test it. If it's not too bad, he might be able to fix it... though sometimes, there's so much salt overkill that it's impossible.]
no subject
Beats me. I never had "the real thing".
[...It's actually less salty than real cured bacon and aged cheddar would be.]
no subject
Mm. It's actually not nearly that salty. A little closer to turkey bacon, but less salty than that, too.
no subject
So is that good or bad?
no subject
I'd say it's good. It's not as greasy as real bacon, either. Some people would argue that defeats the purpose, but I'm not against fun and creativity.
no subject
There's a purpose to having greasy food?
