006 - action/voice; i came in like troy walking in with pizza
Who: Clay Terran + You people
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: On the Iskaulit
When: June 7th, a bit after this
[You know, Clay hadn't been expecting a day like this. All he was doing was going to the Iskaulit to do some workouts in the gym, even bopping to a tune playing in his head.
Of course, that all comes a stop when he sees the mess before he sees anyone else. Blood trailing through the hallway, like someone had been walking with it. His stomach churns a bit, and his first instinct is to flee and get someone with medical help. Like Jennifer, or Beverly, or...
But no, he's here, and he... doesn't really realize just how bad it is yet. He returns to his shuttle first to grab the first-aid box, then heads in to see who needs his help.
And upon following the trail, well... Turns out, it's a lot worse than he thought it'd be, and that instinct from before comes back full force. He's only had some lessons, he's not prepared for this level of medical trauma, he really isn't -
And that's why he'll be calling out on the comms - not video, because there are kids on the network, but it's pretty clear by the state of his shaky voice that this is definitely an emergency.]
I-I need doctors - healers, medics -
[He takes in a deep breath - ]
I need all medical personnel to the Iskaulit right now!
((ooc: Everyone's free to branch off, tag other threads, etc! This is a general rescue/medical aid post for Winter's wrecking ball.))

If anyone happens to be lingering around Wrath, they'll get a stern-looking Beverly striding towards them, ordering them to move out of the way. She comes to kneel at Wrath's side, ignoring the blood soaking into the legs of her jumpsuit. While she runs the tricorder scan, she talks to Wrath in low soothing tones - but for once, she doesn't touch her, not wanting to trigger any more pain.]
Wrath, honey, I'm here, okay? I'm going to take care of you but I need you not to move or try to talk.
[First things first, now that the scan is complete: stop the pain. She opens the medkit to prepare a sedative.]
no subject
Need to... report. Not safe. [Her knife... where's her knife?]
no subject
Quickly, he sends a text to Kurt, who is still asleep but will respond soon for evac.]
Wrath. It's safe for the moment. You helped a great deal. You did a very good job.
Please rest so you can make a full report later.
no subject
She finishes loading the syringe with the sedative.]
You saved us and now we're going to save you. This will help with the pain, but it will take a minute before you start to feel it.
[Maybe longer, given her physiology and how much pain she's in right now. Without further ado, Beverly injects the sedative into Wrath's upper thigh.]
no subject
Ye--Yessir. Thank... thank you. Sir.
[The needle doesn't even make a blip in her perception, not with every nerve screaming or dead or randomly firing. But she's so tired, suddenly.]
Can't... feel anything.
no subject
So he squats down and gently pats the hand of hers that holds the knife, hoping she can sense it. And if not, perhaps she can see it and see that he's trying to reassure her. As he speaks, he looks over at Beverly to confirm that what he's saying is acceptable to her as well.]
I'll have Kurt transport you to the Windrose's medical bay. You'll need to rest a while.
no subject
Thank you.
[Then she too, lays a gentle hand on Wrath, stroking her cheek.]
We'll be with you the whole time.
[Just try peeling her away from Wrath right now.]
no subject
Tell Kurt. Don't do... anything... dumb. [Her eyes slip shut again.] Kick his ass.
[Her lips curve in an unfocused smile, though, perhaps not the prettiest expression considering all the blood.] Beverly.
no subject
Which is, predictably, about when Kurt calls him back.]
Excuse me for a moment, Beverly. Do you wish to be transported with her?
no subject
no subject
Please stand by for transport. He'll beam you directly to medbay, and I'll follow later on a shuttle.

[She retreats into formalities that provide a sense of familiarity and stability. There's work to be done, no room for emotions
except of course for her brief encounter with Sascha. They don't have to wait long for the transporter and once in Windrose's sickbay, she immediately springs into action, first setting up a tube thoracostomy to drain the fluids in her chest, then collecting what she needs from around the lab to put Wrath in traction. As soon as Vision returns, she'll no doubt be putting him immediately to work as well.]
no subject
He makes his way to the medbay and gives her a brief sitrep, followed by]
What can I do to help?
no subject
Her spine needs to be stabilized and realigned so I'm going to need your help getting her in traction. If it's possible to generate some sort of anti-gravity field around her, anything to get the pressure off her spinal cord while she heals.
no subject
I can divert some of the engine's power to create that in a small area. It will take me a few minutes in the engine room; please let me know immediately if it affects anything aside from the area around the bed.
[And he'll run off to do that real quick.]
no subject
That should be sufficient, for now.
[Lose too much gravity and she can't tend to Wrath effectively. It's not an ideal rigging - force fields would be a lot of help in this situation - but it will do.]
no subject
[So he leaves it there for now. Maybe they can rig something more specific up later, but for now this will have to do. He heads back up as soon as he's able.]
Once she's stabilized, I'll see what I can do about a better long-term solution. What else can I do?
no subject
She's lost a lot of blood and I can't get in contact with Allen. I need to go back to the Blue Fish so I can preform a transfusion.
no subject
Do you need her there as well or only to grab supplies? We can have you there and back quickly enough.

Thank you. I'll return as soon as I can.
handwave the rest?
We'll be waiting.
