[ when the feed flickers on, it's focused on a tiny pink-haired woman. the camera is above, obviously not in her grip, dressed in scholar garb. she stomps her foot on the ground and points to the communicator. ]

--Eos!

Put that down this minute! You've not a clue where that's been!

[ there's a quiet twinkling, like the sound of bells--and she looks offended. ]

We are in an unfamiliar world, with unfamiliar--things! Do not make me unsummon you!

[ is that twinkling panicked? ]

Then put it down! Eos, now.

[ slowly, the point of view is lowered until it drops into allumette's claws, and she breathes a sigh of relief. she peers off-screen until a tiny fairy joins her, settling on her shoulder. she pays no mind to her fairy, however, squinting and staring at it. ]

Oh, Thal's balls--it's on.

[ He gets closer and outright crouches to peer at Eos while she's still on Allu's shoulder. ]

What's your name? [ Can she speak? This is all very curious, very confusing, wrong but exciting. ]

[ and she brings up one of her hands right before his face. ]

I am going to have to ask for you to step back. She's very skittish.

[sensationate]

[ Jordan raises a brow at her but doesn't even move. He's a pixie, he doesn't care what you want him to do, small person. ]

She doesn't seem that bad to me. [ He focuses on Eos again. Treats her closer to something like an equal, even. ] It's not that bad, is it?

I'm tell--

[ yep, there goes eos, skitting from her shoulder to fluttering behind her head. she sighs exasperatedly. ]

Of course, no one listens to the scholar. Eos, you needn't fear, come out please.

[sensationate]

[ Jordan tilts his head to watch, then decides to scoot up about... two steps. Maybe. ]

Her name is Eos?

[ eos comes out after a moment, perching herself on allu's head instead. she glances up at her before peering at jordan. ]

Yes, that is her name, I've been told. Or perhaps it's the name she prefers to go by--she's eons old, just about, I've not an idea.

Eons old? [ Gosh, but isn't this fairy just fascinating. ] How did you come by meeting her?

[aheroipray]

A fellow warrior asked for an arcanist's help to uncover archaeological goods. I had thought it interesting at the time, but had not expected to find the soul crystal of a Scholar amongst those goods--once uncovering it, I suppose contact with my aether summoned her forth.

[ ... a short sigh, and she crosses her arms. ]

Though I doubt you've understood what I've said.

No, but context is a powerful clue. Something about yourself drew Eos to you with some sort of... crystal as a catalyst. Am I warm?

[aheroipray]

[ a shrug. ]

Close enough, I suppose.

[sensationate]

Where did she come from? Do you know that much?

i'm pretty sure this is right but i don't really wanna go back into scholar quests...

"From"... difficult to say, really. Most of her mythology and information has been lost with Nym--but of the few tablets that have been recovered, there is little to say on her origins.

[sensationate]

That's disappointing. She's rather fascinating, it's terrible that more hasn't survived.

[aheroipray]

I agree, though for many more reasons than just the loss of her sisters.

[sensationate]

What would your reasons be?

[aheroipray]

That's much too heavy for starting conversation.

[ Jordan offers a grin. It isn't very sympathetic but there's some kind of understanding in it. ]

How long has she been alongside you?

[aheroipray]

Ah... [ here, she starts to count on her fingers. she took up the arcane arts after leviathan, so... ]

A good few months? It's been a while, though not a year.

She looks rather attached to you considering the time you've spent together.

[ If it's not obvious by now, he doesn't give a shit about Allumette but rather the fairy he doesn't understand. Demons don't work like that. ]

I supposed she was like a baby hatchling: quick to latch onto the first creature she saw after being resummoned.

[ Jordan nods. This person is Eos's then, and he respects that even if Allumette clearly has no idea what that means. ]

Things like this. [ she takes her codex off of her hip and opens it, casting lustrate. it's like a spray of fresh water, rejuvenating--and it's supposed to heal bruises and cuts. not that he has any of those, from where he stands. ]
