[ Action, Rogue's room on the Vanquish, and later around the ship. ]

[When Rogue woke up, she knew something was wrong. Little things were off about her room and when she tried to raise her head, her arms felt like noodles. What - what happened? Why was she so weak?

If anyone is in her room, she could probably use some help getting out of bed...

Later, she will be walking very slowly down the halls, leaning hard on the wall, in order to get to the kitchen. Has anyone seen her captain? Her co-chef? Her brother?]

All right, I'm up. I heard all the 'beauty sleep' jokes already, so try a new one. What'd I miss? Fill a gal in.

[She's hoping that this will also serve as a role call. After all, she's pretty sure it'd been over a month, and she knows how people come and go.]

I am... annoyed. It was not like the time in Luceti; I was the only one who was without memory. [Though for the most part, people handled him rather well, he can admit to himself.]

[Her eyes widen.]

The only one in the entire fleet?

[Why? Why would he be singled out like that? That clearly does not bode well.]

Yes. At the time, Ahsoka was afflicted by having been turned into her thirteen-year-old self, but that was... a bit different.

Her brow furrowed. "That..."

It was clearly too soon after waking up to try to figure this out. Either that or... "That doesn't make any sense."

Was he being specifically targeted for some reason? Why?

"It does not," he agreed. "And yet that is the state of it." He wasn't exactly happy about any of those things, about being manipulated and individually targeted.

"Unless it really was a malfunction..." which, let's face it, they had a zillion reasons to doubt.

And, yeah, she didn't believe that he was half as okay with his time from being an amnesiac as he seemed, but she wasn't in any position to push and make him talk about it just yet. She felt so incredibly weak. And thirsty. And... oh man, did she have to pee.

"Loki, I need ta get up."

"Anything is possible." Yeah, right.

He wasn't all right with it, really, but it also wasn't his first time dealing with this; in some ways, it wasn't so bad as things had been in Luceti, in other ways worse. Though most of those he'd spoken to during that time had been wise enough to avoid him entirely, which helped his levels of anger as well.

"All right." After laying down for so long, he had little doubt. He moved back to give her a bit of room, but kept an arm around her. She seemed to need it. "Where?"

"Bathroom." She really did need the extra support, since in even trying to push off with her hands, her arms folded and she let out a sharp cry of pain.

That much is immediately evident. He hurries to take a firmer grip on her and take more of her weight. "Then to the bathroom we shall go." Though hopefully once he gets her there, she'll be able to take care of her business herself. More for wanting to avoid the embarrassment than any other concern. Though Loki isn't particularly good at being a caretaker.

"You ought to see a healer after."

Rogue groaned at that thought. "Do I have to?"

Ugh, that sounded like a horrible idea. If Mia was here... but she wasn't. She didn't trust doctors.

He raised an eyebrow at her. "Let us make a deal. I shall carry you to one, and if you can wiggle free and walk away under your own power, you don't have to go."

"That sounds like a bad deal," she grumbled. Reaching the bathroom, she tugged on his sleeve. She should be able to do this on her own.

"It sounds a very reasonably deal," he said, grinning. He let her go carefully, ready to lend support if she did actually need it.

She wavered on her feet -- and it hurt to stand. "I can't argue with ya an' stand up at the same time," she said. "Just wait there."

Please wait.

She took several torturous steps into the room and didn't completely shut the door. She'd never felt her body like this; outside of the coma and a few other powers-related things, it had always been something she could rely on. This was frightening.

She did manage, however, to complete her business without assistance and step slowly back towards the door. (And hopefully back into his arms.)

After so many days spent largely waiting near her, a few minutes standing outside the bathroom like a pervert barely even registered. He was still there when she returned, and caught her handily in his arms. "Bed, or kitchen?" She had to be hungry, right?

Ugh, just the thought of going back to bed had her making a face. "Kitchen."

...and then she remembered what they usually had to eat. "Maybe Eugene has some soup or somethin'?" She gave Loki a small, tired smile. "D'ya mind - I wanna try ta walk first."

She'd just really need to lean on him, but she wasn't one to want to be carried if she could help it.

He'd rather thought so. Eating was non-negotiable at this point, but it was also much easier that she wanted to go to the kitchen herself and he didn't have to fetch it for her (and potentially fight her to get her to eat). "Worth investigating. I haven't stopped by the kitchen in quite some time."

He waited until she felt steady and stepped back, letting her get on her own two feet. Then he bowed and offered her his arm, as he'd done often in the past. She could lean on that as much or as little as she liked, and it put him in a good position to catch her if she did start to fall.

That was an instant concern, really. She glanced up at him while taking his arm. It hurt to move, every muscle screaming protest, and she tried not to let him see. Still, there was very little chance that someone who knew her so well would miss it. "Have ya been eatin'?"

Yes, he still definitely saw, but for her sake he pretended to not notice. "On occasion," he said. "When reminded."

"Then if I've gotta eat goop, ya should too," she said, tightening her grip. She was slowing down. Already. But she was determined to keep moving forward under her own power as much as possible. There was only one way to beat this, and that was to keep moving forward.

Her slowing down was of concern, but since he was here, if she got to a point where she couldn't move, he could simply carry her to medical. And she wouldn't be able to object by then. Loki doubted she'd be able to do permanent harm to herself like this, so he would play along. "That hardly seems fair," he said. "I can go back to my ship and compel Kirito to make me another of those stir-fry things of his if I really must eat."

"Oh, have ya found a good stir fry?" Her voice was strained from the effort, and she really couldn't tighten her grip anymore, she just didn't have the muscle. "That's fine, s'long as you're eatin'."

This sucked. Everything hurt. And she felt like she was still walking around with an anvil on top of her, argh.

"Kirito does well enough. You ought to have some, at some point, and judge for yourself."

He tightened his arm a bit around her, just to give more support. But he wasn't going to pick her up quite yet.

His support was welcomed and at the same time, something that she really, really didn't want to need. But she couldn't walk on her own, so... suck it up, cupcake.

More disturbingly: "...is Kirito a name I'm supposed ta know?"

She thought she knew everyone on the Paisley. Was her mind okay?

"I don't believe so. Had you met everyone on the Paisley? There have been recent changes, but Kirito's been there the entire time I have."
