Who: The Blue Fish Crew / visitors
Broadcast: Nope
Action: By the Giving Tree / the Blue Fish
When: sometime in the first week or so of being on the singing planet and onward
[Guess what everyone? It's time for a Life Changing Field Trip with the Blue Fish!!! The whole crew has come together at the giving tree to see what the fuss is about and maybe get some gifts. And to hold hands of course. Obviously.

So, want to see what happens?

[So he hesitates when Beverly holds out her hand. Or rather, stalls]
I suppose...that'd be the best way of finding out, huh.

[She raises an eyebrow, a slight smile emerging.]
I promise, you won't get bombarded by my secret fear of magical presents.
no subject
[Okay, he has to smile a little at that]
Right, good. I promise I don't have a secret fear of trees as well.
no subject
Magic isn't real. It's just...not.
He's just going to continue circling the damn thing.]
I don't like it.

Yeah, Beverly has a point. [And optimistically!] I hear you get things from the tree. Maybe you'll get another bag for your collection.

[Damnit Allen, don't exploit his weak spot.]
I guess that's worth dealing with creepy magic over.

[Yeah sorry bro, he knows where to hit]
no subject
Yeah! We can prove this magic stuff is just a bunch of hockey and it's just got a perfectly reasonable scientific explanation. Like it's a wormhole into other dimensions - to pick stuff up from other worlds, or something. Or some kinda of replicator.

[Beverly rests a hand on the tree.]
I do know of species who can manipulate matter naturally, without the help of machines. Beings of pure energy. Perhaps this one is only taking a solid form for the benefit of those who live here.
no subject
[It's probably not important. He grins at Beverly, though. Yes, GOOD. ]
See? THANK you, I knew there was a reasonable scientific explanation for all of this.

[Allen Walker: a master of words]
Right, it could be that too. Now will you hold our hands?

visiting!
It's a pommel horse, with foam covering the large wooden bar and his initials burned into a small corner of the foam and the wood along with a tiny star, just so they know who it came from. He knows Allen's an acrobat, and he's sure Blue Fish could use some more equipment as well; what Atroma provides just isn't enough.
His plan is to leave it there and get out so that it can be a surprise, but anyone's free to walk in on him while he's setting it up!]

Clay?
no subject
Um. Hi Beverly!
no subject
[She frowns and purses her lips suspiciously.]
May I ask why you're installing a pommel horse in our ship?
no subject
[He leans back, letting her take a look at what he made.]
None of our ships have really good exercise equipment, even with all the upgrades, so I figured you guys could use something like this? I already promised Allen I'd make some pull-up bars, but I haven't found all the materials necessary to make them. He's really into acrobatics, so I thought I'd make this to compensate and to give an extra gift to you guys.
[...]
It was supposed to be a surprise, but...
no subject
I didn't know that about him.
no subject
Oh, yeah! He does a lot of stuff like that; sometimes he'll be balancing on things while we're talking! I think he misses being able to do it, so... [He gestures at the pommel horse behind him] I made this. I'm hoping I can make more, but I figured this is a good start.

Is there anything I can do to help you get everything set up?

I think I can manage that!
