Who: Leliana w/ cameo from one mabari pup
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: aboard the Blue Fish
When: Now!
[Have a mabari pup, people! Kiter is very excited that Leliana has been taking care of him, though she is having trouble contending with all the puppy drool. Don't mind her as she pulls a face while he tries to chew her cowl.]
Kiter, sit.
[Nope. Not gonna happen - you are not the master, Leliana.]
Maker, this pup... you're a naughty one, no?
[Going to just put a hand a top his head while she tries to stay in view of the feed, smiling a bit to herself. She really does have a weakness for animals.]
For anyone who it might concern of the Thedasian variety or otherwise - Lady Riona Cousland is indisposed for an unforeseeable amount of time. She won't wake up no matter what I try.
[She drew on your face - you're welcome, Riona.]
For now this young one is my charge until she returns to good health. If anyone seeks to ask questions they may do so here or find me in the Interfaith Center or aboard the Blue Fish.
[Though she's going to have to find someone to babysit Kiter when she has to leave him. Maker this pup is hyper.]

video.
As a Ferelden born and raised, if you need any help with the mabari I gladly offer my aid. They can be a bit of a handful sometimes.

[She smiles, glad to see a familiar face offering - though she and Hawke only ever spoke briefly she can't help but feel an attachment to this Hawke. The one she knew was a woman and looked exactly like her so it stood to reason they were perhaps one in the same, though Leliana was learning not to make assumptions so quickly. It didn't hurt that she also wasn't telling the Queen of Ferelden things like Alistair dying and such. That certainly won her brownie points.]
The Kiter I knew was larger and more trained, though he had a fondness of going through Morrigan's things.
[Said a little too happily. Ah how she dislikes Morrigan... but she's still glad to see that motherhood has changed her so.]

From experience? No, they tend to be mischievous. My mother likened having a mabari like raising a fourth child.
[ Lothering never really knew peace the day Dog entered their family, the mabari bonding quickly to Hawke much to her brother's chargin. It somehow only made her that much more of a terror to any children who dared to pick on her siblings. ]
Ha! Dog had the same kind of fondness though she didn't have a Witch of the Wilds to terrorize, only my brother Carver. [ She grins, beams. ] Never took Carver's things far, though, but I guess it was his way of telling him that he loved him.
Carver never really got over the fact Dog bonded with me rather than him.

[She smiles a bit fondly, though there's a hint of sadness. The poor girl - she'd heard about it from Varric when he'd been grilled for information about Hawke in their attempt to make the Champion their Inquisitor.]
Oh, but Mabari are definitely smart in that regard. They know who the safer bet is, I'm sure. You probably had better treats to offer.

Hope they were good stories and not the ones about how I used to shove mud down Carver's shirt.
[ A terror she was to her brother, though she did it all out of love regardless how much he would protest that she did not love him at all. ]
Of course I did, the juiciest bones available.

[She laughs a bit, imagining Carver's sour face. She'd heard a few stories from Varric about that one too.]
I hope the tree decides you deserve a mabari too, then. It seems the thing enjoys giving presents.

[ Mostly. Some of the time. Not all the time. She loves her brother, her dear darling brother, loves him very much. ]
I might have to go ask it nicely, maybe bring some nice soil to feed it's roots. Or water, trees like water.

[She laughs a bit.]
We're old friends so it wasn't unpleasant at all.
[You know except the feelings exchange.]

If only Varric was still here, I am sure I could have convinced him to come with me. We could have ourselves a merry little adventure, with weird trees and dinosaurs.
[ Without realizing it her hands goes up to the chain around her neck that holds his ring. ]
I suppose Fenris might do, maybe.

[She chuckles a bit, adding -]
Inquisitor Trevelyn used to make a game of teasing him for his dislike for the wilderness.
[Leliana makes note of the ring, smiling a bit to herself like someone who knew a valuable secret. She had gleaned from Fenris that his and others like him had differing memories of Hawke and of various events. It might be nice for the two of them to have a moment together, she thinks. Then again she might be channeling a bit of wistfulness from Alistair's departure and Riona's sadness over it. Damned if she didn't want someone to have a happy ending.]
