Ah, hello?

[ Oh, look, a new face! A rather young new face, wearing what most (if not all) the Thedosians of the Fleet will likely be able to recognize as a Grey Warden's uniform/armor/thingummy. Her accent is distinctly Ferelden, and she sounds a bit uncertain, but smiles at the camera anyway. ]

This is... rather strange, I must admit. I'm certain this isn't the Fade, which must mean it's real, even though I don't really see how it could be.

I don't suppose anyone could tell me what's going on?

[Oh, it's a Warden. Between Anders and that mess in the Vimmark Mountains, they as a group have not exactly endeared themselves to Fenris. At least he attempts not to be overly hostile.]

This is certainly not the Fade, nor is it Thedas. You have been brought to the Fleet, largely for the entertainment of others.

Well. Whatever magic this is, they could've had better timing. I was doing something important.

Well, I suppose that's better than nothing. [ half to herself ] If I must be wherever here is for some stranger's bizzare entertainment, at least I'm not letting Morrigan get any further away while I'm here.

[ She puts on a smile again that's only a little bit forced. ]

Well. Strange place-that-is-not-Thedas aside, it's lovely to meet you. My name is Stephanie Amell.

[He doesn't respond to the name, of course, he only knows her creepy ass mother. Still, his lips quirk, slightly and he inclines his head. Perhaps the name should mean more to him, but they try to pretend the Blight Is Not A Thing in Tevinter for obvious reasons. Even in Kirkwall, her name isn't mentioned much.]

Fenris, lovely. [ curiously ] I have to ask, where are you from? Your accent isn't Ferelden, or Dalish, as far as I can tell.

I'm from Tevinter, originally. I've been living in Kirkwall for many years now, though.

Definitely not a Dalish.

That would account for the accent, then. I've never met anyone from Tevinter.

[ If he were human, she'd be asking him all sorts of questions. But... well, she knows how elves are treated in Ferelden, and they don't allow slavery. She is smart enough to know that the likelihood of that being a bad topic of conversation for a new acquaintance is pretty high. ]

I'm pretty thoroughly Ferelden. Never been further out of the country than Orzammar, unless it happened when I was very small and don't remember it. Just as well, I'm quite fond of it.

Ah, I never got that far South. Many of my friends come from Ferelden, though.

Really? [ perks up ] I wouldn't have thought many Fereldens would still be in Kirkwall. I know a lot of people had to evacuate during the Blight, but...

[ Ah, sweet naive girl, not realizing how hard it would be to get back, let alone start over - AGAIN. ]

Well, many chose to stay. They created new lives for them, and from what I understand Ferelden suffered terribly during the Blight.

True enough, I suppose. I can't imagine wanting to stay, but... well. I wasn't evacuated.

We did. We're rebuilding, though, rather well I think, considering how little time we've had - at least from what I've seen.

It has been nearly ten years, since the Blight, for me.

Sometimes, people are brought here from the same world, but from different points of time. You were right in the thick of it, then?

I... yes, we only just finished cleaning up the last remaining large pockets of darkspawn a matter of weeks ago.

Then you might consider your time here a welcome respite, perhaps.

I'll admit, it will be nice to go more than a handful of days at most without someone or something trying to kill me.

I know that feeling only too well. We may not have many darkspawn left, but there are still plenty of people who wish to kill us. Assassins, thugs, and the like.

Sounds like you're probably about as popular as I am. Let me guess, you try to help someone out, end up fighting off frankly ridiculous numbers of hooligans or monsters in the process?

Well, it was worth a shot. Although, I'll have you know that we have actually bolstered our ranks since the archdemon died, so there are other Ferelden Wardens now.

[ she looks a bit surprised ] Really? I've yet to run into anyone with that surname, I assumed it was one the Circle gave me.

Incidentally... that's where I met your cousin, Hawke. Her mother was Leandra Amell. She did say that there was magic on both sides of the family.
