[ some of you may have noticed that winn has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past...16 days. he's not really sure how to address the elephant in the room - he knows these two weeks and change have been hard on the people he loves but for him it's like no time has passed and the dissonance is hard to bridge.

it's a good thing he has a not at all unhealthy coping mechanism set in place. ]

You know, if we're entertainment on a reality show, the least they can do is give us like a recap - you know your basic [ in a tv announcer impression ] here's what you missed on the Fleet - or - last week, on the young and the Drifting - [ he rubs the back of his head before shaking it ] Well, maybe talking about the 'least they can do' isn't such a great plan...first order of business - what'd I miss? Second order of business - if you or anyone you know has ever fallen into an unexplained sleep here or at any other kidnappy world - I'd appreciate it if you'd answer a couple questions, they're a text attachment at the bottom. Sorry if it's been done before, I'll gladly take a link to any previous research as well as fresh data. Third order of business -- hi. [ he gives the camera a little wave and a nervous chuckle ] Um. Yeah, I'm, I'm fine, I should've opened with that but if you know me the order isn't really gonna surprise you that much and if you don't you're probably really confused right now and looking for the off button - it's to your right, right on top, there you go.

I need to discuss something in person. My place? [ he can't really leave kitty yet ]

So, really nothing you've ever thought about? [Because now she's curious.]

I'm happy.

[ he fidgets a little though, because while he's sure kitty would have no problem with his preference - it's not exactly a revolutionary concept, even within their existing relationship - it's still embarrassing to say. ]

But if I'm really pressed - it could be fun if you run the show sometimes. [ he loves their equal footing and wouldn't give it up for the world. but he does have a thing for strong women. ]

[It's very vulnerable just to say what you like even if what you like is still pretty vanilla. She felt the same way just now. But he was cool with her and she has every intention to be cool with him.]

Oh no, what if I like it too much? [She waggles an eyebrow at him.] Might go right to my head. [She kisses his neck softly.]

Mmmhm -- that's a risk I'm willing to take.

[ only because he's convinced there is no risk at all. he runs his fingers through her hair. ]

[Leaning into that touch.] Look at us talking even without a planet shoving our thoughts at each other. [She's pretty damn happy. He's awake and they're sharing. Does it even get better than this?]

We're definitely winning at being a couple.

[ he keeps at it, massaging her scalp ]

Cool, is there a trophy?

[ he's filled with so much content at seeing her so happy, knowing that he did that. not by building something, or giving her something - just by being with her and by being his own silly self. they really are winning at being a couple. ]

There better be. I'm in it for the awards and accolades. [Nuzzling. She couldn't look more pleased with the situation if she tried.] I'm going to sleep so well tonight. [She hadn't been while he was asleep.]

Mmhm. [ he chuckles softly ]

If you're feeling sleepy I could meet up with Hank and Cisco at Kara's office.

That might be better than having them sit on the bed now anyway.

True.

[ he laughs and kisses her forehead ]

I love you.

[She smiles fondly at that. The forehead kisses always feel like they have extra affection in them.]

Love you more.

[ there is always extra affection for kitty. ]

Not possible.

Tied? [Soft kiss.]

Tied has a nice ring to it.

[ and since he's gotten to feel her love on the planet, he can believe it, too, though it already feels like a distant dream. ]

It does. [Nuzzling.] While you were gone I realized I love you even more than I thought I loved you which was already a lot. Just don't use that as an excuse to disappear again.

Did you?

[ he smiles, stroking her arm. ]

So what you're saying is you love me most when I'm seen and not heard?

[ how else can he deal with it if not by joking? ]

Heeeey. Don't you dare take it as a negative. [Nips his jaw. She figures he's just being playful. He better be!]

[ he's absolutely being playful, the fact that he's just complimented his looks is a huge tell.

he laughs, and humms his content at that nipping. ]

So, any other epiphanies?

Um, [for a second she thinks of telling him something she and Tyrion discussed before shaking her head.] I can make an alarming amount of money when I want to distract myself? Windrose is really well stocked on food.

Doesn't matter how well stocked we are, it's still gonna run out too fast.

[ he shakes his head ]

Did you do anything but work?

[ yeah that's concern she's hearing and no he doesn't care it's hypocritical but thanks for asking. ]

True. Maybe the next stop will be even better for food.

[She runs her fingers through his hair.] No. I spent a few days with you. [Is that less or more concerning?]

[ he's not sure. ]

Did I mention I'm sorry yet?

[ he really is. it's not going to keep him from possibly putting it through this again if his theory is correct and his continued poking evokes more anger - but he is sorry. ]

I know. I also know it's not your fault. [She kisses him softly.]

You know if...something happens...I want you to be happy.

[ it breaks his heart having to say it, he hates having to say it, and the way he holds her a little tighter, the way everything about him tightens betrays it. he doesn't want to think of them failing - but it's a possibility, a very real possibility. and if it happens, he knows she's strong - she'll survive it - but if he can make it a little bit easier on her by braving this talk, he should. ]

I know. [She says it again and her voice breaks. She holds him tighter.] I want that for you too.

...As much as I worry about you coming back with memories of someone else I do want you to be happy. There or here.
