004 ♛ Video;
Who: Daenerys Targaryen
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Aoard the Caprine
When: Now
[Daenerys addressed the network, still looking a little worn around the edges despite her time asleep. She felt as if she hadn't moved from her bunk in days. In her hands rests the device, pointed towards her face and atop her shoulders rests one lazily dozing dragon. Drogon's black scales had a bit of a copper and red glint to them in the lights cast about her room, his eyes were closed and his wings were curled in close to him. His clawed hands clung to her shoulder while his feet dangled over her back, hidden by her hair. Across the other shoulder, the very end of his tail could be seen. He was draped neatly around her neck where he could rest comfortably.]
I apologize to anyone who may have been inconvenienced by my mishap. My absence from was not intended, though I have no idea how long exactly I was asleep. This is my first time experiencing such a state. Should anyone from the other ships wish to brief me I can be found at my post aboard the Caprine.
[A smile and she reaches with one hand to stroke the end of Drogon's tail. His wings fluttered, sensing the disturbance.]
And this is Drogon. He is one of the dragons whom I call my children, born of a funeral pyre originally, but reborn and returned to me by the Tree that gave us gifts. Perhaps some day Drogon's brothers will join us but for now he is all that remains to me of my home.
[Drogon's hands stretched sleepily and in his attempt to awaken he fell clean from his perch on her shoulder and down her back. With a loud raptor-like shriek, Drogon shot into the air, out of the video's view and out of sight somewhere above Dany's head. He wasn't happy to have been woken up. Thanks for that, Mom. :|]
Private Message: Tyrion Lannister
Lord Tyrion, if you wish to meet him in person, you are welcome to at your earliest convenience, though I don't know that he'll be quite ready to receive guests beyond yourself. He's still adjusting to the ship, I think.
[Another loud screech and Drogon dive bombed back into view, landing in a heap in her lap. Looking down, Dany coos at him, trying to console him.]
Shh, shh... you're with me... you're just fine, sweetling.
[She smiles, bringing her gaze back to the device.]
Be prepared for him to be a bit difficult. He is a child, after all.
Action
[The Caprine crew can find their Captain up and about, checking on various stations throughout the ship and finally stopping in awe of their new gardens. The lemon tree in particular received her adoration. She was excited to be able to harvest it and perhaps task Qing with making lemon cakes to send to one Sansa Stark as a bit of a peace offering between her and the girl and her brothers.
Drogon alternated between remaining perched on her shoulder, tucked beneath an arm, or flying a few inches beside her head. He made soft hissing and rasping noises on occasion, not displeasured at the moment into full on screeching. Having him around made her smile more brightly, her step more upbeat. If anyone in the crew or visiting the ship should happen upon her they would be greeted by him as well.]
Drogon, sweetling, don't wander too far...
[Not an easy command to follow for a baby dragon in a new place.]

Drogon, sweetling, don't wander too far...
[Not an easy command to follow for a baby dragon in a new place.]

video;
[Still, there's something in his tone, or perhaps his face? She wasn't sure but he seemed stranger than normal. He wasn't nearly as insulting as usual.]
Have you experienced the strange sleep that the Atroma puts people under? I only recently woke from it and I keep hearing how common it is and yet I've never truly experienced it before now.
[She's changing the subject rather obviously, still trying to get a read on what was so inherently wrong with him.]
video;
[ And he hopes he never does. Kitty explained to him how people have woken up with new memories. He wants no new memories of Ramsay Snow. He'll stay here forever and make no efforts to return home if he can manage to avoid them. ]
What happens?
video;
[As for her memories - those are still the same.]
It's about the same as falling asleep normally, only you don't wake up for a time but you aren't dead, I think.
[She's pretty sure her crew would have told Tyrion if she had died.]
video;
[ Theon's had horrible dreams since his siege on Winterfell. They still plague him sometimes, but now he has new nightmares to add to the pile. Worse nightmares that interfere with his sleep. It seems he'll never escape them. ]
video;
[Either she did and couldn't remember, or she didn't.]
video;
Theon only sighs and gives a curt nod. ]
You're not dead. I have reason to believe that you would know if you were dead.
video;
[She walked into her husband's funeral pyre. If that isn't going to kill her, it's hard to imagine what will.]
Are you well?
[Because he seems awfully unlike himself. He'd been fine trying to insult her earlier - that was their normal relationship - but he seems different, even if she can't put her finger on why.]
video;
A papercut, probably.Even though Theon is trying his hardest to put his hypothetical mask back on, it does keep slipping. Physically, he is well. Mentally, he feels like he's about to fall to pieces. ]
I'm fine.
[ Is it completely a lie if you're healthy and unharmed? ]
My sister is gone. I suppose you've been stuck with just me now.
[ Sorry 2 disappoint. ]
video;
Wow, can't she at least have a cooler death?She can't help but feel sorry for him - his one piece of home, a family member who seemed to genuinely care for him, was gone. In a sense she could relate, even if Viserys had often been the opposite of caring.]
Am I meant to be pleased by your disappointment?
[She rests her chin in her palms, still contemplating how his mind worked. It was as if he hoped to continue their strained relationship. She thought back on their conversation in the hot springs and wondered if perhaps they could continue that rapport.]
I don't think you're so bad. A bit difficult - but not a bad person.
[Not unlike Viserys.]
video;
[ It's really hard to tell through his lack of sleep, but there is some hint of disappointment there. Asha may as well be his only remaining family member. His uncles are all mad in their own ways, his brothers and his father are dead and his mother is wasting away on Harlaw.
Dany's comment does get him to crack a weary smile, though. ]
Can you tell that to the Starks?
[ He forces a laugh, but his act betrays him as his eyebrows knit together. No matter how hard he tries, he can talk sense into neither Robb nor Bran. Arya doesn't care, Sansa seems to fear him, and he couldn't care less about Jon. It's a difficult position for him to be in. For half his life, the Starks were his family. It's unfortunate that they never felt the same about him. ]
If they won't believe me, perhaps they'll believe you. And your lizard.
video;
[Not that it bothers her terribly much. She'd like to find some alliance with Robb or Sansa, given that she was the eldest who still lived, but the girl was like a wall of ice at times. She was polite but had a wariness about her that was more stubborn than Robb's brashness.]
As for my lizard Robb would have you believe he is a myth and I am a Blackfyre pretender.
[It was her turn to force a laugh now. The only Stark she had even come to like was Bran, but the child was like to be as mistrusting as his kin.]
video;
[ His words are mocking, but he clearly still has a great deal of fondness for Robb, as his wry smile proves. If there's something Theon regrets most about his betrayal, it's that his friendship with Robb has been all but destroyed. ]
I would tell you that he'll come around and realize what an idiot he is, but that could take him years.
video;
[He spoke of him as if they had a close relationship. It made her a bit jealous that he could so easily find that connection with the Starks.]
video;
He should. [ After all, Theon is hilarious. ] But I fear that he doesn't find them quite as amusing as I do.
video;
[Though that was an assumption based on their tense meetings thus far.]
video;
[ That was before he became King in the North. ]
He had some relatively funny japes about Roose Bolton and his leeches. You'll have to ask him to tell you them sometime.
[ But he pauses, eyebrows knitting together. For a brief moment, he had forgotten about Roose's betrayal. ]
Or perhaps, don't.
video;
[Are Northman always so grim? Even Sansa rarely smiled that she saw.]
video;
[ Doubts begin to flare in his mind, trying to force him to recognize that Robb was never truly his brother, but he won't acknowledge them. Not right now. He'll save that for later. ]
If you ask me, he's under the impression that Kings and lords all lack a sense of humor.
video;
[Though... that mostly might be because you wanted to light them on fire, Dany.]
video;
[ Despite all his doubts and upsets, he manages to crack a smirk. ]
Or do you just care to erase that from your memory?
video;
You're not so nearly as unpleasant as you project yourself to be. You have more humor about you than Robb Stark, at the very least. Besides -
[She gestures wordlessly.]
I don't make allies based upon their humor. It just makes them easier to talk to if the conversation is more pleasant, wouldn't you say?
[Robb wasn't as easy for her to talk to as Theon, ironically. Theon she knew how to deal with. If he was inappropriate or rude, she had no problem telling him so. Dealing with Robb Stark was a much more difficult balancing act. Their conversations were akin to struggling to keep a cracked glass from falling apart. Not an easy task.]
video;
Theon isn't particularly fond of it. ]
Aye, I would agree, but should you ever arrive in Westeros, you'll find most of your conversations unpleasant. The lords of the North are all dry and humorless.
[ He should know. He's come up with enough japes about all of the Stark bannermen to fill a book. ]
Dozens of Robb Starks. I cannot think of a worse nightmare. [ Besides his real nightmares. ]
video;
[If only she knew how much truth there was to Theon's words, or that he'd experienced all of it first hand. She only knew so much about him and what she knew was limited to what Tyrion or others felt like telling her.]
video;
[ He's been holding up well, but his expression seems to crack as he turns the conversation back to the Boltons. The son is just the shadow of the father, his thoughts are certain to remind him. If Ramsay is ruthless, Roose can only be worse. Theon is still terrified. ]
You need only worry about Lord Bolton and his son. The other lords are merely cold and humorless, but can be reasoned with.
video;
[The image the word 'flaying' conjures in her mind was terrifying, but not so terrifying as she's seen her dragons do to a man. Fire and torn bodies were more fearsome, she found.]
I asked the youngest Stark once... about the North. Perhaps you could tell me more?
