hes from my time and hes a terrible person hes a military leader who uses conditioned soldiers to rule through fear and he blew up an entire inhabited star system because one of the planets on it had a government he didnt like even though there were tens of millions of civilians

[She switches to video which she keeps encrypted. She doesn't have the proper augments but Kurt is on her ship with the communications augment and damnit she never had any trouble hacking or encrypting before this augment nonsense. But it doesn't feel like conversation to write out. It's also a little painful to read the way he writes it out.]

Based on what I heard about them? I can't blame you for that. They sound like exactly the kind of people you want to keep as far away from as possible.

[That's a good point, but the facts would be even less impressive to her than the unknown.]

Yeah. How much did you hear about them?

They're from a pretty recent history to most Earth people here, and they killed a lot of people for really stupid reasons like what they look like or where their ancestors were from.

My people were one of the groups they targeted, but it was before I was born. Does the First Order target people like that? Based on religion and ethnicity or something specific?

[He shakes his head.]

Politics. There's a side of human supremacism, but that has more to do with who gets in command than anything else. That said, even being loosely connected to someone with the "wrong" politics can be a death sentence--like, living on the same planet.

I don't know. Maybe they're just record keeping kind of people? [He'd know better than her.] Maybe to know when to avoid or go back to certain places more frequently.
