[the face that greets the network looks a little relieved to have figured out the communicator, and her eyes light up, albeit briefly, before she looks around. She mutters as she brushes the confetti out of her hair]

They don't really warn you when you're going to be moved, do they . . .

[she clears her throat and turns her attention back to the screen]

Um, h-hi, I'm Winnie and - okay, being in space is kind of really cool, but - could someone answer a few questions for me? A-And tell me how I can go back home? I really can't stay here, I was kind of - busy.

[what an understatement. She looks around again, then turns the camera to the pudding desserts]

And if anyone wants some of these, I'm on the - Bishop? I don't, uh - I'm not really hungry.

Yeah, when - when we talked? Over the - what is it called, a communicator?

Forgive me, but... we have never spoken before, over the communicator or otherwise. Perhaps you confuse me for another?

[seanced]

. . . are you sure? Because - whoever it was looked like you, and - and introduced themselves as you.

[faithfulwisdom]

[He frowns, his brow furrowing.] I am quite sure.

Such things may be done, of course, but it seems a foolish waste of time and energy. [Sorry, Winnie, he's probably only half making sense right now.]

[well if it wasn't him it had to be someone else doing it, and that seems - weird but not as weird as she would have thought]

I-It's a waste, for sure. I hung up on them because they were being really rude.

[faithfulwisdom]

I am dreadfully sorry, then, that your first impressions of me were so unfortunate. I fully intend to look into this, I assure you. [Quite aside from finding the entire matter an attack on his honor and reputation, it's a massive security risk.] Forgive me for asking, but this impostor limited his ill behavior to rudeness, I hope? He did not threaten your safety?

[He assumes not, given the way she reacted to him, but better to ask.]

You - you don't have to apologize, it wasn't your fault. I'm sorry they used your face to do it. [she shakes her head and quirks a brief smile] It was just rudeness. No threats.

I am grateful for that, at least.

It is quite a welcome you have had to the fleet, hmm? I wish I could say that things are usually much calmer, but, alas, that is not so. You can expect a bit of madness on a regular basis- most of it harmless enough. [But not all.]

[seanced]

I'm - used to that, at least. S-Sort of, anyway. [there was always a little madness going on back home. She figured it came with being what she was, and what she could see. Nothing was as peaceful as it once seemed]

[His lips quirk into a wry little smile.] I am not entirely surprised. That seems to be a common theme amongst those brought here.

Being used to some level of madness? I-It's probably required, all things considered.

Likely for the best. I suppose that also explains the wide cast of characters we have here, in a way.

[her lips purse, unamused]

Mm, almost like - like a play or a movie. They need one of every type.
