Um, h-hi, I'm Winnie and - okay, being in space is kind of really cool, but - could someone answer a few questions for me? A-And tell me how I can go back home? I really can't stay here, I was kind of - busy.

[what an understatement. She looks around again, then turns the camera to the pudding desserts]

And if anyone wants some of these, I'm on the - Bishop? I don't, uh - I'm not really hungry.

Why's that?

Teleportation magic doesn't work, and furthermore, our ships are tethered to the Marsiva. Sometimes there are planets and waystations to visit, but... we cannot go home.

So we're just . . . stuck here? [she presses her lips together, unsure if she should be upset or angry] Not even magic works?

[she says it in a way that sounds like she's amazed it actually exists, despite absolutely reeking of it]

[ Says the man that can't show his face on camera. Sorry, Winnie. ]

Um, they're chocolate pudding? I think. It looks like it, anyway.

Makes for better enterainment, I guess- and Atroma seems to know that knowledge is power, so they give us as little as possible. Their representatives only talk to us every few months or so and won't answer any questions.

[Cheese heard the fanfare and came to investigate. It's always worthwhile, seeing what new person had arrived. As such, Winnie will have a little pony walking over to her, smile across his face.]

Hey there, welcome to the Bishop. I'll try to answer anything you want.

[He glances down at the poor pudding. ]

Are you sure? They're really good, and you only get them when you arrive on a ship.

[y'know, she's seen a lot of weird in her time like this, but talking pony? That tops the list. And that's even taking into account meeting a literal dream eater]

. . . er - yes! I mean, yeah, I'm sure. I'm not - big on pudding.

[It hasn't escaped Gemini's attention that there's been an addition to the Bishop's crew and when she sees the broadcast she just has to say hello.

The feed clicks on but it's not Gemini's face in the picture, instead it's Finrod's, a slightly sinister smile on his perfect elven features as he greets her.]

Welcome to the Bishop, Winnie. I am Finrod, the captain of this ship. I’m afraid you're stuck with us for the time being, we'll try to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

[it probably isn't a surprise that the smile makes her uncomfortable; then again, she seems like the type easily rustled]

T-Thank you? It's - um, it's nice to meet you, Finrod. Or - do I call you captain? [how does that even work here]

[Gemini can see that discomfort and is enjoying it, although as Finrod she just gives Winnie a dashing smile.]

You may address me however you like. Although captain does not sound right, perhaps master would be more apt.

Action, poor Winnie. Welcome to the fleet?

[Finrod tries to greet most of the new arrivals anyway, but seeing such a young face and hearing the trepidation in her tone made him seek her out all the sooner. Call it an over-active brotherly instinct. So it's not too long before he comes around a corner, giving her a friendly smile and a nod hello.]

You should save them. [Gesturing at the pudding desserts.] You will tire of packaged protein soon enough.

[but wait, wasn't she just—? She blinks a little widely at him, because he seems far more friendlier in person. At the greeting she gives an awkward little wave]

No, i-it's okay, I don't mind sharing them.

[He's rather accustomed to people being startled when they first meet him (the whole elf prince thing and all), so he really doesn't think much of Winnie's quick little shift in expression, at least, not yet.]

Generous to your fleetmates already. We are lucky to have you aboard, it seems. [Yes, he's teasing a little, making it sound like she's offering to share some great treasure instead of just pudding. But there's a seed of sincerity under the playful exaggeration. He appreciates people who think of others, no matter how small the circumstance.]

You called yourself Winnie, did you not? I am Finrod Felagund- [He actually dips into a little half-bow here, bending at the waist. Old habits die hard.] -currently serving captain of the Bishop. It is not easy arriving here, I know, and I simply wished to tell you that I keep my door open, as a rule.
