[the face that greets the network looks a little relieved to have figured out the communicator, and her eyes light up, albeit briefly, before she looks around. She mutters as she brushes the confetti out of her hair]

They don't really warn you when you're going to be moved, do they . . .

[she clears her throat and turns her attention back to the screen]

Um, h-hi, I'm Winnie and - okay, being in space is kind of really cool, but - could someone answer a few questions for me? A-And tell me how I can go back home? I really can't stay here, I was kind of - busy.

[what an understatement. She looks around again, then turns the camera to the pudding desserts]

And if anyone wants some of these, I'm on the - Bishop? I don't, uh - I'm not really hungry.

Ah - yeah, go ahead.

[ He steps around her, grabbing a pudding and moving to settle back to lean against a door. ]

So. What's your augment?

[she finds somewhere to lean as well, crossing her arms]

It's - um, it's engineering.

Huh, don't think I've met an engineering before.

[ Not that he's asked the others what their augments are, but... ]

I'm Communications.

I don't know why they made me engineering - I don't know anything about it. Aside from, um, what the augment tells me.

[she was going to go to school for literature, not engineering. She couldn't be furthest from being qualified]

What does Communications do?

Yeah, I didn't know anything about anything until I realised this thing was telling me.

[ He's literally a Seraph. Who has never touched technology like this before. Alas. ]

Protocols, scanning, repair and maintenance of the devices, reports... It's all kinda boring.

I don't know, it doesn't sound that boring . . .

[says the girl who marvels over new technology]

I bet you've seen this kinda stuff before, though, huh?

In movies, sure. B-But space travel and all of this stuff isn't actually real where I'm from. Not yet, anyway.

[ He shakes his head, turning to dig into his pudding. ]

I've never seen a 'movie'.

Never? Really?

Nope. Don't exist where I'm from.

Wow . . . where are you from, then?

A place called Glenwood. Not much in the way of technology back there.

S-So everything here must be really new to you?

Yup. We didn't even have ways to talk like these communicators. We had to send letters.

That's not too weird to me . . . w-when I was alive, we didn't have things like this either. I mean, we had phones, but - they were just regular phones? A-And writing letters was still pretty normal.

We don't even have phones. [ Now he's grinning at her, though, all teeth and flirt. ] But the wind helps me out.

[guess which part flies right over her head, it starts with an F] The - wind does?

Sure. I'm a wind seraph, so I can see stuff with it.

Whoa . . . that's - really cool.

Yeah, damn right it is. [ He grins, watching her with a softness he can't quite hide. He's always had a soft spot for lost ones. ] I'll show you, later.
