Nowhere, really. I guess I just wasn't as hungry as I thought.

Just be careful not to waste it. That's the good stuff. [And by good she just means "not protein gel"]

Yeah, I know. I don't actually waste food, so...

Anyway. Sorry, it's just been a few days. How are you?

I've seen better days. Like ones where my captain didn't go and get himself disappeared.

[ Kara is the picture of sympathy, putting a hand on Kitty's ]

Oh, I'm sorry! Of course you're also upset about Vision. That's a way bigger deal for you than it is for me.

[It is upsetting and she has been down because of it, but she just accepts Kara's support for now without seeking more or doing much more than nodding in acknowledgement.]

Is that what had you looking down? Vision? [Because she didn't buy that it was just a case of having too much food blues. Whatever that even is. Sounds made up.]

Well, yeah. He's part of it. Poe and Finn are gone, too. Poe's supposed to be my wingman and I didn't get a chance to take Finn out flying very much.

Finn too? [She hadn't realized that one yet.] Oh, wow. [Not awesome news.]

I didn't realize you knew them all or that Poe was your wingman. Was he good at it?

Well, we didn't really get a chance to try it out, but I know he would've been.

We'll find someone to man your wings. I guess I'm qualified as a pilot but I'm not entirely sure what a wingman actually does.

A wingman helps a guy get the girl, or in my case, a girl get the guy. They're a hype man! They make introductions and hype and then back off when it's appropriate.

Like, "this is Kara. She bathes regularly and has shiny hair?"

More like, "Oh, this is my friend Kitty I was telling you about, Winn. She can walk through walls and is from Chicago".

Mmm, but would you have set us up if we hadn't done that so efficiently on our own?

Well you clearly don't need help from a wingman.

The student became the master. You know the one couple I did set up way back at the dance fizzled out.

Do you want to? End up with someone here I mean. I mean, you must at least kind of want to since you had a wingman and all, but there's a lot that comes with it. Expiration dating. You know, unless one of you are willing to relocate and that's even a thing that can happen.

Dating is dating. I thought part of the deal is that it might not last forever. And there are already so many reasons I'm probably going to be alone forever, but it'd be nice to think for once, when I don't have to hide who I am, I'd be able to get someone to like me.

[For a moment she wants to ask more about having to hide herself in National City, but that's more for her own future pondering than anything that will help Kara now.] Why do you think you're going to be alone forever?

Well, I'm an alien, with no eligible alien suitors so, that's kind of a bad start to begin with. And it's not like I've been super lucky in love.
