[Beverly nods, agreeing with Jeyne’s assessment.]

[She slips on a pair of oven mitts to move the pot away from the stove.]

I'm Dr. Crusher by the way. I don't believe we've met.

[She flushed in embarrassment.]

I should have known better. It's rather stupid of me not to at least find something to cover my hands with.

[She is quick to learn other things, but cooking was where she was a bit of a dunderhead? It was a bit ridiculous and frustrating to discover that about herself.]

No, though I think that I have heard your name in passing. I'm Jeyne Westerling...er, "Lady Stark".

[She wasn't a widow here.]

[Her eyebrows go up almost imperceptibly at that name.]

Stark, hmm? Another relation of Robb and Sansa's then?

Yes.

[Her face turns as red as her hands.]

Robb is my husband and Sansa is my good-sister.

[Beverly's face, on the other hand, completely lights up.]

Robb never told me he was married!

He didn't? He seems to vary in who he has told.

[Though the reason was understandable.]

You are friends with him?

[In truth, Robb hasn't told her much of anything. Most of what she knows of Westeros came from Bran.]

I'd like to think so. I care about him a great deal.

[It's not much of a shock. Robb is very taciturn. She's often more surprised when he has shared elements of his past with others, rather than not.]

It helps to know that he had those that cared about him in this place. Have you been here as long as he has?

Longer. I've been here almost two years.

Two years?

[This would sound strange, but she couldn't help expressing the sentiment.]

I hope I am able to stay that long.

[It's not strange at all. Even without knowing about Robb's death, Beverly more than understands wanting to be with your husband. She knows enough too about Westeros to not blame anyone from there for wanting to stay as far away as possible.]

[If what? If Atroma brought Jack back? The thought has certainly crossed her mind, but she's always quick to push it away. She doesn't know what she would do.]

Your loved ones are here. It's natural you'd want to stay.

[She smiled sadly, reflecting on all she had gained. This world might be frightening and confusing, but it was only here that she could have her husband back.]

[Her mind shifted to another topic, remembering the introduction more clearly now that her hands had stopped hurting.]

Doctor? You are the doctor on this ship?

[Unfortunately, they all seem to be at the whim of Atroma, whether they want to stay or not.]

I am. At home as well.

They assigned me to personnel as a nurse. Though I am not as skilled with medicine as I should like to be.

I would be happy to help, if you like.

Would you mind if I also come to assist you when others are in need of medical attention? I should like to be of some use, as well as to observe.

Of course. It's always good to have a helping hand. Though, truthfully - and thankfully - we don't often have too many injuries or illnesses to deal with.

That is fortunate. It will at least give me more time to learn and practice before any real attention is needed.

Oh good. [It made her feel less self conscious.] When do you hold these classes?

[She gives Jeyne the time and place for the more introductory instructions.]

Though it's flexible - if something crops up and we have to move the time or place we meet, it's not a problem.

Given that my duties don't seem so time consuming, and others don't often get hurt, we could at least meet for an hour at the clinic?
