You can check out anytime you'd like.. [Hotel Corona Mingle]

Who: The Fleet!
Broadcast: If you want
Action: Hotel Corona or Planet Ikke
When: December 7th onward

a wheel-shaped space station

[After the mystery and isolation of their last destination, the Marsiva seems determined to head to brighter, busier territory. After a long journey through remote, nebula-painted space, speeding along at a brisk pace for the Host ship, the Marsiva brings her Fleet to a sudden and prominent point of traffic.

It seems that the Fleet has happened upon some sort of vacation destination! Maybe Atroma thinks that the passengers deserve some rest and relaxation... or just wants to distract them with something huge and shiny.

Welcome to Hotel Corona! Feel free to enjoy yourselves and enjoy the sites! If a hotel resort isn't your thing, you can head on over to the nearby planet and explore it's icy wonders.

In order words: it's a mingle!! Everyone get in! ]

Does that sort of thing just... happen? People discovering they have powers?

Yeah, for witches anyway. It usually starts happening when we hit puberty but it doesn't all come in at once.
nerdeology: (what? I didn't say anything)

An awful lot happens to humans around that time, huh.

[Such busy lives they lead.]
mistyday: <user name=iconmunism site=tumblr.com> (sure)

[personal profile] mistyday 2016-12-31 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
What, seraphs don't have puberty? But you were a kid once weren't you?
nerdeology: (and she was really annoying)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-01-02 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Puberty is developing into sexual or reproductive maturity, isn't it? We can't do the latter, and the former depends more on the seraph than their physical body, or so I hear.

Anyway, some seraphim stop growing well before they look like what a human would call an adult.
mistyday: <user name=iconmunism site=tumblr.com> (yeah right)

[personal profile] mistyday 2017-01-03 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh... how are y'all born then, if you can't... you know?
nerdeology: (no the other one)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-01-03 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I was taught that, when the world needs another seraph or one has died, they're created from their element. A fire seraph might wake up near a volcano, or a water seraph near a river... that kind of thing.

More rarely, humans can be reborn as seraphim when they die, but I don't know the actual requirements for that.

And what about falling in love? Do you still do that?
nerdeology: by <user name=earthenring> (i'm working on a new recipe)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-01-04 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. Just because we can't make our own children doesn't mean we can't have families.
mistyday: <user name=iconmunism site=tumblr.com> (lookin down)

[personal profile] mistyday 2017-01-05 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
No, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that... blood ain't everything no matter what they say. It's just... you're different than all the spirits I was ever told about.
nerdeology: (but i know of a few)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-01-05 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's alright, I'm not offended. I've heard that there's a big variety of spirits in the universe- even some who call themselves seraphim, but aren't like us. It gets a bit confusing sometimes.
mistyday: <user name=iconmunism site=tumblr.com> (sure)

[personal profile] mistyday 2017-01-05 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but it makes sense don't it, that there's all these different types of humans here, so why not spirits too?
nerdeology: (heard about the clueless shepherd?)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2017-01-07 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
No argument here. I'm sure that if we asked around we'd get all kinds of opinions about both.
