You can check out anytime you'd like.. [Hotel Corona Mingle]
Who: The Fleet!
Broadcast: If you want
Action: Hotel Corona or Planet Ikke
When: December 7th onward

[After the mystery and isolation of their last destination, the Marsiva seems determined to head to brighter, busier territory. After a long journey through remote, nebula-painted space, speeding along at a brisk pace for the Host ship, the Marsiva brings her Fleet to a sudden and prominent point of traffic.
It seems that the Fleet has happened upon some sort of vacation destination! Maybe Atroma thinks that the passengers deserve some rest and relaxation... or just wants to distract them with something huge and shiny.
Welcome to Hotel Corona! Feel free to enjoy yourselves and enjoy the sites! If a hotel resort isn't your thing, you can head on over to the nearby planet and explore it's icy wonders.
In order words: it's a mingle!! Everyone get in! ]

[ It's clear which ship he means. Still he sighs. ] I am the Emperor of the known universe. Bi-la kaifa. I will not rail against inevitability.
no subject
But isn't that what emperors should do? Rail against the inevitable?

[ But he leans into that touch regardless. ]
no subject
But we are allowed moments of grief, between ourselves.
[ He steps in and hugs him. ]
I know he meant a lot to you. I'm sorry it's like this.

[ And when it does, the crushing weight of Leto's destiny always hangs above his head. Ominous and destructive. Love is the blow that will kill him. ]

[ Kirk stepped back and continued on their way to his suite - a rather unique affair with strips of glass running along the walls and floors and even the ceiling, filled with water and fish swimming lazily. It created a unique lighting illusion as well, ripples across the shadows of his room. ]
Make yourself comfortable.
Ah, I brought my chess board along. We could play some, if you like.
no subject
Idly, he says. ]
You picked an unusual room.
no subject
Hmm,did I? I just... I liked the way the water reflected around the room. It's peaceful.

[ It gets his hackles up and Leto works hard to suppress the instinct to flee. ]
no subject
[ He glanced at him, tilting his head slightly. ]
Does it make you uncomfortable?
no subject
[ He shrugs, faking nonchalance. ] But I am a desert creature. I'm not used to seeing this much water.
no subject
Oh. We can move, if you like.
[ He didn't want the other unnecessarily uncomfortable, as the whole idea was to help the other relax and get his mind off things. ]
I don't think the hotel will mind if I occupy another room for a night. Special request - no water.
no subject
It's hardly any trouble.
