[After the mystery and isolation of their last destination, the Marsiva seems determined to head to brighter, busier territory. After a long journey through remote, nebula-painted space, speeding along at a brisk pace for the Host ship, the Marsiva brings her Fleet to a sudden and prominent point of traffic.

It seems that the Fleet has happened upon some sort of vacation destination! Maybe Atroma thinks that the passengers deserve some rest and relaxation... or just wants to distract them with something huge and shiny.

Welcome to Hotel Corona! Feel free to enjoy yourselves and enjoy the sites! If a hotel resort isn't your thing, you can head on over to the nearby planet and explore it's icy wonders.

[ He shakes his head. ] And it matters little with Loki gone.

[ Loki never broke his vows, but he knew it was a struggle. Leto had encouraged him not, but it was not as simple as all that. ]

[She's confused, taking in the last few things he said to sort it out again and then looking at him with a different sort of concern.

Here's a questions she shouldn't ask.] What were you and Loki to each other?

[ He says nothing, but finally Leto lifts his hand to show the ring. ]

What is that supposed to mean? [It can't be the thing rings usually mean in relationships, right?]

You're not telling me he was cheating on Rogue, are you? [Because she can't even punch him with him gone. Or possibly because he's a god.]

No. And he would not. He loved her.

[She visibly relaxes at that and nods. Not sure what to say after half accusing him in the midst of comforting him.]

[ He sighs. There isn't anyone Leto could talk to and he knew it. ]

He's gone. So is she. It's best to leave it at that.

[Softly.] She was my first friend here. [She'd made many relatively quickly but Rogue really took her in. Plus, she was Rogue. Not the one she knew, but someone important nonetheless.]

You felt more for him? [Trying this again. It's not judgmental. If Leto loved Loki it wouldn't feel like a betrayal of Rogue to her. Not if nothing happened and ultimately that was Loki's end to hold up. And she already knows Leto isn't exactly someone who believes in monogamy.]

I always feel strongly. Loki . . . A Loki I knew was family. I promised that I would always be there for him.

[ It didn't matter which Loki. Kanda made him promise and Leto would do anything for Kanda. ]

Love is easy. To stay in it was harder, but worthwhile.

That does seem like it would get you in trouble. [She can be pretty passionate about things herself. She finds his hand and gives it a squeeze.]

Harder to get yourself to stay in love or harder because you stayed in it? [For her it's always been that second one. As much as she absolutely loves Winn and as forefront in her thoughts as he is she isn't certain a part of her isn't still in love with Reid and Piotr despite everything that happened.]

Both, I suppose. I can't give people what they want in love. Relationships, family . . . At the most, I can provide the little inbetweens, the kiss of a lover, the touch of comfort.

Not everyone wants the same things in love. [A true enough point, she's sure. But relationships and family are the things she wants so she can't argue from the strongest of positions.]

[ His lips twitch. ] There's a certain conformity in love.

True. A lot of us want to be first in someone's thoughts.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

But I promised my life to the future. To humanity. Love does not factor in that.

Not the same kind of love maybe, but that sounds like a promise made of love. That's usually where self sacrifice comes from. [Not the kind that is likely to love him back though.]

It is love in a fashion. It is a decision I made.

I'd be lying if I pretended to know the full ramifications of your decision, but I'll say thank you because I have a feeling it's the kind of thing you don't hear and the sort of thing you should hear.
