[After the mystery and isolation of their last destination, the Marsiva seems determined to head to brighter, busier territory. After a long journey through remote, nebula-painted space, speeding along at a brisk pace for the Host ship, the Marsiva brings her Fleet to a sudden and prominent point of traffic.

It seems that the Fleet has happened upon some sort of vacation destination! Maybe Atroma thinks that the passengers deserve some rest and relaxation... or just wants to distract them with something huge and shiny.

Welcome to Hotel Corona! Feel free to enjoy yourselves and enjoy the sites! If a hotel resort isn't your thing, you can head on over to the nearby planet and explore it's icy wonders.

Yeah. Even if we think about it real hard, not like there's much else we can do about it, besides.

And we get real beds. How long has it been since that happened?

[Erik's sure some other members of the Fleet are thinking about it. He'll leave it to them for now. He has enough to manage without the overarching mysteries.]

At least a few months... I think. [He took a ten-year hiatus in the middle of the Faction worlds, so some things are foggy.] What kind of room did you get?

[robitussin]

I found one that's, like, covered in blankets and pillows. Paradise.

[Heaven is a huge blanketfort.]

What about you, what are you getting?

[exothermia]

I took the budget option.

[And the less said about it, the better.]

The bed is decent.

[robitussin]

Oh, no. What did you get?

[The lack of detail makes it pretty obvious to her that's it not ideal, whatever it is, but... Call it morbid curiosity.]

It's purple. Let's leave it at that.

What if I'm really curious?

[A beat.]

For real, though, one of the standard ones probably wouldn't be that bad if you split the costs.

It isn't unbearable, though I might try for a different one later. The one I have pumps perfume into the suite every hour.

[robitussin]

[Curses, foiled again, etc.]

...Perfume? That's kind of gross. Why?

[exothermia]

I'm assuming it's part of the... charm.

[He really does not think it's charming at all.]

[robitussin]

So. Purple, and it keeps spraying perfume. That sure sounds charming.

[It sounds like an allergy attack waiting to happen.]

Hopefully the perfume is the worst part, at least?

[exothermia]

I would say so. [Other than that, it's just ugly.] I don't spend much time in there other than sleeping, in any case.

[robitussin]

Probably reduces the chances of you inhaling too much perfume.

[But now she's curious.]

Yeah? What else have you been checking out since we got here?

[exothermia]

The museum, mostly. [He casts a glance out the window, where the nebulas are sparkling in the distance.] I know half of the exhibits are likely false information, but it's still a nice change of pace, to be able to consider things in a space dedicated to it.

[robitussin]

Yeah. The nebulas are pretty cool, too. You'd think there would be more cool views since we're in the middle of space, but I'm not about to knock this one.

[A pause.]

Even if the rest of the museum kind of sucks.

[exothermia]

Why is that?

[He had briefly looked in there, but hasn't given it real scrutiny yet.]

[robitussin]

Most of what I've seen is just advertising for the hotel, or really obviously cheap stuff that they're trying to pass off as artifacts.

[exothermia]

Well, that's disappointing.

[robitussin]

Yeah, pretty much. At least that's not the only thing to do here? Because that would really suck.

[exothermia]

[He snorts.]

No, they've packed this place with plenty of attractions. Some of them are bound to hit the mark.

[robitussin]

And thank god, because if it was just the eternal winter bullshit on the planet I would be pretty pissed.
