At the risk for earning a reputation as a party planner, I have a thing for everyone to attend again. Don't worry, lots of other people are helping pull it together. It's going to be on New Year's Eve, but the real event is the countdown to Winn's birthday which is also on the first. It's going to be in a club we rented out for this in the red shift district. Starts around seven-ish. Ends when you pass out?

It's kind of a surprise maybe? At least the part where it's for his birthday. And if you don't know Winn but you still want to come that's fine too. You can trade a gift for Winn for a free drink at the bar. Otherwise, bring some money. Cake's on us though.

[Birthday/New Year's Party]
[The space is well decorated and so glittered you can probably tell Wrath was part of the team putting this together. Lots of Winn's friends came out to help whether it was getting decorations up, managing food, music, or chipping in to buy out the space and a drink for anyone bringing a gift. Not to mention drinks for the birthday boy all night.

There's a table for presents and another one with a spread of openly available food though the bar has appetizers you can buy too. There's a big cake at one end because of course there is and some punch that didn't start the night spiked at least. There's space for dancing and a karaoke machine set up on a small raised platform for those who want to try their hand at entertainment.

The night really kicks off when Winn walks in and instead of a balloon drop there's a fluffy blue stuffed bear drop. Feel free to take one of those home. There are a lot.

When midnight comes closer some people will file out to one of the observation areas to get a good view of the nebula for the big countdown. Bring your own person to kiss!

[ okay he loves them deeply and fully but they still don't get to see his beautiful girlfriend naked. ]

You're cute. [Kissing him again and humming the song as she pulls back.] Tomorrow is just us in bed all day, yes?

Sounds perfect.

But tonight's party sounds perfect too, right? Demanding girlfriend is demanding.

Perfect girlfriend.

[ he boops her nose. ]

Tonight's party's the best party ever.

[passingthrough]

[Smiling at that.] I can't believe how many parties I've helped with since being here. Do you think I'm part pony now?

[winn]

Deep down, we're all part pony.

[ nudging. ]

[passingthrough]

Alarming. So alarming. [Walks with him to the little stage.]

[winn]

There're worse things to be.

[ he shrugs and jumps onto the stage, heading right for the karaoke machine to pick their song ]

Name twenty. [Okay, a little unexpected nervousness as she looks at everyone from the stage. She can plow through that though.]

[winn]

[ in one quick breath ] Bob-John-Mike-Harry-Noah-Alex-Ben-Jack-Emma-Sophie-Michelle-Ashley-Lucy-Donna-Lily-Zoe-Sarah-Julia-Julie-and-Rex. [ nod. what? she told him to name them! he's drunk enough to find himself hilarious. the music starts and he takes her hand and leads her to the mics ]

How long have you been practicing that? [She gives his hand a squeeze, not really expecting an answer because singing is going to be a thing. So many "do do do's".]

[winn]

[ he winks at her and squeezes her hand back. when he starts singing, it's loudly and occasionally a little off-key. is it the booze or a purposeful attempt to make her feel more at ease? that's for him to know! ]

[Would you look at this guy always being so good to her? She looks at him instead of the audience while singing and that makes all the difference.]

[winn]

[ he looks back at her and he's so into the song and just having a blast through it. when it's done he lets go of her hand to give her an excited high five. ]

Whoo! That was awesome.

[passingthrough]

[She was not expecting a high five so it may look a little awkward to anyone watching but it gets there! She's used to hugs and kisses with Winn, but there is also something nice about it. She has full security in their romantic situation and she's super greedy and she also wants to be seen as one of his best friends and who do you high five? Your friends!] I'm glad you liked it.

[winn]

I loved it.

[ he let's the next person to take the stage lightly shove them off it, and once they're back on the floor she does get that hug too. ]

Thank you. [ he hopes he won't get too drunk and forget that, because this is the kind of memory he wants to carry with him forever. ]

[She hugs back tightly and stays in his arms for a bit. It was kind of a thrill. Not exactly jumping out of a plane or fighting in battle, but it wasn't awful. She's still not doing it at the drop of a hat though! As happy as it makes Winn she just can't do that to everyone else!]

[You don't have to drink ALL the alcohol tonight, boy!]

[ he's happy to hold her as long as she likes. ]

It's my pleasure. [ he laughs and kisses the top of her head. ] I love you too, Kitty Pryde.

[ but people keep buying him drinks! ]

[So forever? Or until she needs to use the bathroom?]

[Put them in to go cups. Totally normal.]

Only if you promise to catch me again at midnight. [ he's giving her a bratty take on smitten. it's a thing. ] I have to kiss you at twelve and say I told you so at 12:01.

[ he doesn't have to go cups, he has shot glasses. ]

Promise. If you're still standing. I can't do all the work. What will people say if I go around kissing passed out men?

[She smiles at him and tries to think back.] You told me so? What did you tell me that I've already forgotten?

[winn]

Hey, I'm not that drunk.

[ booping her nose. he smiles at the question. ]

I told you I'd kiss you on my birthday.

Not yet you're not. [Smiling at him as he bops her nose. Only he gets to do this kind of thing.]

Did I not believe you? Sounds like a bad bet to make on my part.
