Is the wind thing new? [Of course if it's not, that sure explains why Dezel has latched on as hard as he has. Maybe Sora should meet Zav- no.]

Okay, three.] Y'know, I never met anybody with a bunch of powers like yours who doesn't even fight. It seems sort of atypical for the usual Fleet crowd.

Yeah, something like that. [He takes the rolls, sticking his skinny arm through the center of them to hold more of them.

Which is good, since the next statement makes him pause and rub his head a bit awkwardly, considering what happened during the attack. Maybe Dezel and Mikleo didn't tell him....]

Really? Oh, um, well- it's not like I'm against fighting. I do wanna join the rangers back in my world and they do some fighting, but I gotta finish school first.

Really? [do you just not go outside of towns until then] You're almost my age though, aren't you? [helpfully starts slotting on more rolls of tape] How long do you have to keep going to school?

Another couple years, probably. [He sighs. Not a fan of school here] I hear some Enlightened- er people with powers, can get out of school earlier. But... my powers aren't really impressive enough for that.

Another couple years?? How long have you been going? [like only five years or so right]

'Bout a year at the current school. Before that, I went to school in my village since I was about...6? 7? Somewhere around there.

[monolike]

That's- That's over ten years! You guys go to school for ten years? [oh my god he wants to go back in time and grow up where you live]

Uh yeah. When you put it that way, it does sound like a long time...

What do you even learn? Do you learn special things or- is it like an apprenticeship?

Reading, Math, History, Pokemon studies ... learned a lot about boating and fishing too, I guess.

[Finishes putting those tape rolls on.] Wow, that's so cool... [Sighs enviously.] History class. I would've loved to take it.

But you're really smart. Didn't you go to school?

[monolike]

Nope! In my village me and Mikleo were the only kids! So there was no point in having a school. Our Gramps taught us stuff like math and reading and writing, but everything else we know we got from books or by practicing.

Do you need help back up?

Wow, only two kids? And I thought my village was small.

[At least he had like...8 kids his age there!!]

Nah, I'm a good jumper! [To prove his point, he jumps up onto a thruster that's hanging above them] See?

[Well then Sorey will follow him, Windstepping up there so he doesn't have to yell up the side of the ship like some idiot.] You said you grew up on the beach, right? So your village is right by the sea?

[He's seen Dezel do windstepping a bunch of times, but Sorey doing it is still impressive.] Hey nice!

[But since Sorey can clearly follow, he'll continue his ascent onto the ship, jumping onto various parts to serve as footholds.]

Yep! It's on an island!

Ah, that's right! Coconuts! [he still wants one of those, y'know]

[He laughs] Yeah, that's right! Lots of coconuts.

Sora how big is your island, geographically? I always thought they were relatively small but if you can fit a whole village on yours, it must be considerable, right?

[notzubats]

A whole small village, sure.

It wasn't that big. You could get across it in about an hour or two. There were a couple smaller islands near it, but those were tiny.
