[ After a week of traveling and glitches, the Marsiva finally pulls into its newest destination. It seems they've wandered out of human space for now, and into a system dominated by the Co'kal. Luckily, there's still lots for people to do and see, when they aren't dealing with even more glitches, that is.

[Yeah, he knows. He halts once he's caught up and immediately ducks his head, hands clapped together in front of him in a pleading gesture.]

Sorry, I'm sorry! That wasn't important at all... I shouldn't have interrupted what we were doing. Please forgive me!

[If one could be on their knees in the air he'd do that. This is definitely groveling.]

[She huffs, still irritated, but she drops her arms.]

Are you only saying that because I got upset? [It's a valid question.]

[huaaaaagh]

No, no!

[He says it maybe a bit too fast, so after a moment he exhales quietly, leaning in, and tries for a bit more sincerity rather than pleading. She's always liked it better when he's honest.]

Sorry... I got distracted, at a time when you deserve my full attention. I guess when you're with me, it's easier to let myself forget how long it's been, and I took it for granted. I want to spend time with you, I promise.

Jeez. [It's said with a sigh of exasperation, aimed towards the both of them-- him for being an idiot, and her for giving in so quickly. Just like always.]

If you're fine with it after being apart for so long, I guess I am, too.

[She means the distractions, the falling back into old habits. Part of her is grateful he's seeing it that way. But then, a slightly more shameful part of her wanted him to hold her and never want to let go. Of course, she won't say that aloud.]

Just don't do that again. You might have to make it up to me next time. [Asuna holds out her hand for him to take.] Okay, Kirito-senpai?

[He had to see that coming.]

[huaaaaagh]

[There's a visible eyetwitch at that, but with this, at least he knows she's (mostly) not that mad at him anymore.

Which means it's time to double-down.

He reaches back, taking her hand and giving it a squeeze.]

Okay, I promise... Sub-leader-sama.

[stoccado]

Sorry, can you repeat that?

[Yeah, it's this face. He knows it all too well.]

[huaaaaagh]

[He grins, leaning in to wrap his arms around her, tugging her into a mid-air spin.]

Imagine how much trouble I'd get in if I, a lowly Beater, were to disrespect the esteemed Asuna the Flash so blatantly!

[stoccado]

Hey, co-- Ah! [He takes her by surprise, and she can't help it. She laughs. Her arms go around his neck once more as her wings disappear. If the sudden extra weight startles him, she knows he'll recover soon enough.]

Okay, okay! [Asuna buries her face against his neck again, mumbling something.]

[huaaaaagh]

[He tilts his head, catching the sound but not the words. His wings flutter to keep them spinning at a lazier pace, accepting her weight without complaint.]

Hm? What did you say?

[stoccado]

Nothing too important right now. [Amusement is evident in her voice, but she moves on, moving her arms from around his neck to one hand on each shoulder as she relies on his grip to keep her with him.]

Still, I want to make sure of something. [Asuna leans in, resting her forehead against his.] You missed me enough to not do anything dumb like that again for a while, right?

[Yes, her smile is a little teasing.]

[huaaaaagh]

O-of course! I won't do it! I only did that because you were still with me...

[It was still dumb and petty, granted, but the moment she flew off it wasn't the least bit important anymore.]

I'd rather spend time with you than do anything else. Honest!

If that's the case...

[She pulls back quietly after placing a quick peck on his nose, wings appearing behind her.]

Let's see you live up to those words!

[With a laugh, Asuna flies off with much more speed than before. It's on now!]

[huaaaaagh]

[He's momentarily taken aback, but it only takes him a second or two to recover and take chase after her, beating his wings as fast as he can.]

You're on!!

[She may have the lead on him, but he's determined to catch up. Off they go...!]
