[Busy month for the Windrose. They set off a string of glitches by tinkering with found tech. They've lost another captain with Wrath's disappearance though Officer Snuggles remained behind. Misty transferred and Kitty was promoted and that's just the first half of the month. Some of these things aren't official until tomorrow's shuffle.

More importantly, who is going to turn everything pink and glittery for Valentine's Day with Wrath gone?]

[ always with the dirty fighting! he leans in to kiss her, a kiss that's more than a little loaded. but this is more on theme of where he thought the night would go. ]

[What if she's already wearing another strap on under her clothes? (She's not.) She presses back into the kiss readily meeting him and very glad they are here. Oh, she thinks they have more to talk about for sure, but she's glad they are still connecting. That there was no offense or storming off. Which she didn't really expect either but there's always a flare of worry when they have a conflict for reasons that aren't his fault. He's good at calming them. And she's pretty happy with how well they both handled it so far at least. So, clearly, they need a reward.]

[ the blame game is one game he truly loathes, and tries not to partake in. it's rare that only one side's to blame for a conflict, so why dwell on it?

he wouldn't really call what happened here tonight a 'conflict', either. it was more...getting caught by surprise, old issues floating up without warning. he's not angry with her for wanting to try something new, that would be idiotic of him, they've done so many new things together and they've been amazing. and it's not like she's pressuring him into it. he just really didn't see this coming. he should've - she mentioned the possibility when the was changed, but since they never talked about it since, he put it out of his mind.

he tries to do the same now, which results in her getting very devoted attention. ]

[ he grumbles at having to move away from her, but he does as he's asked and takes a peek. unfortunately, chocolate's not all he sees.

he turns back to her, nuzzling her neck to distract himself. ]

I love big bed. I should have shoved Vision out when I moved in. Guy didn't even sleep. [She loves and misses Vision but she definitely should have stolen his room. So much to regret in her post coital glow.]

[ it would be logical, to hand the large room over to a couple over a single who never sleeps. sounds like the kind of thing he would agree with.

he misses him too. he was weird, but it was winn's brand of weird. ]

He probably would have. [But she was new back then and even though she just dismissively said he doesn't sleep anyway, she wouldn't want to ever make him feel less deserving of his space just because he was different. There's also the part where she was on the Windrose less than half of the time.

She nuzzles in closer.] You smell good.

[ his fingers play with her hair absentmindedly. ]

[The fingers in her hair feel soooo good.] Think you can get Kirk to give up his room?

[ he doesn't sound broken up about it. he'll live in a tin can if it means keeping jim around. ]

We could just switch all your stuff one day and see if he notices.

[ he flops back in bed, his hand falling out of her hair with frustrated grumble. ]

I'm in love with you, what does it matter? [ he's not going to do anything about it, so why put himself through this? ]

Because I know how hard it is having a part of yourself you want to deny. Something that scares you or you resent, but it's still always with you even if you're trying to ignore it. [She switches with him, stroking his hair instead.] I love you, and I don't want that for you. I don't really want it for anyone.

Kitty it's not exactly a mutant power I don't need to learn to control it and I can't make anyone's life any better with it.

[ it feels like all that could come of doing what she's asking him to is pain, fear, and worry. doesn't he have enough of those in his life? ]
