Winn Schott and I are... in an uncomfortable position. This may not make very much sense, but I was in love with Kitty in the prison that we were both in prior to this, only her memories of that prison stop before we began to see each other. I promise to try to not be bothered, I only want to warn you that things may be... slightly strange.

Ohhh... that's uncomfortable. Timeline stuff is a mess.

Kitty, of course, and Winn. [A wince. That could have gone better, admittedly.] No one else. Winn has many friends here, I know that--and I know that you are one of them--and it seems... wrong, somehow, to say anything about it to you.

Pavel, I don't want you to feel that way, not about this. Of course I'll be protective of Winn, when it's someone slagging on him or threatening him. But this is just a lot to process, and I get the feeling your issue isn't with him, it's with the circumstances.

I know there's a lot I don't know. Believe me. And I am constantly making mistakes, but I feel like the wrong way to handle this is to keep it in and just hope you feel better about it. You need to be allowed to have your feelings. I can't imagine if Mon-El just forgot that we were together... It sounds incredibly painful. But you don't have to deal with it alone.

I can say with certainty that I won't threaten him.

[He definitely allows it and gives her hand a grateful squeeze. This isn't the reaction that he'd expected (stewing in your misery for a week really skews expectations, he should have known that no one would be unkind), but it is a relief.]

Thank you. [There are other things he could probably say except there's the slightest chance that he'll start crying if he does that and that's deeply embarrassing. Does she do hugs? He does hugs, and he'll hesitantly instigate one if she doesn't mind.]

Thank you, Kara. I wish that I had words that were more grateful than that. [He lets go of her. Nothing's really better, but it does help to have someone outside of the situation who cares. It helps a lot.] I'm glad that I have had the opportunity to meet you twice.

We'll get through this. If there's one thing I've learned about Winn, it's that he isn't well known for his pivoting. He just needs a little time to get used to new things, and then I'm sure the air will clear right up.

Yes, of course. [He's less confident that he'll get used to seeing Kitty love someone else again in the near future, but.] Kitty said that Winn and I may even get along someday. I hope so.

I'm not sure how much he told you but there was a period of time where he was interested in me, but I was interested in someone else. Ultimately, neither situation worked out, but they're friendly now. I'd even go so far as to say they're friends.

He didn't mention that it was you. I see that you remained friends with him also, so... I consider that encouraging. [Even if he doesn't look super encouraged.]

[ they head over to her room, which is decorated really cutely and even has photographs of people hung up around the space. she floats up to a ceiling panel and moves it aside, pulling out some sweets ]

[The homey look of her room makes him smile and the floating doesn't get so much as a blink.]

I would never. You might need to share it with people other than me if I told.

Oh, well. No one else would get into it because, from what I have seen, everyone in this fleet is too kind and considerate to steal something as precious as sweets.

I really haven't found a lot of people here to have issues with. Not that I'm full of drama or anything, but you know. You wouldn't expect people who are in such a confined space to get along, but everyone's really nice.

I'm glad to hear that. It's much easier to argue and fight, I think, with nowhere to escape to, even without the strain of a possible unseen audience. You must know good people if you can all avoid being annoyed with each other.

Oh, I definitely didn't say we don't get annoyed.
