Uhh. I dunno, you got normal alcohol here or just weird space stuff?

Mostly the weird space stuff. But I've figured out which is closer to home.

What's your usual poison?

[He's grinning right back.] Whatever's cheap an' plentiful, but I usually don't say no to ale.

[He's moving already to prepare it for him, taking a clean glass as he goes.]

Been here a few weeks; but yeah, pretty new. Glad to see they haven't given up on taverns in the future; though this ain't anything like the ones back home.

Depends on where ya go. [He grins and settles back on his chair.] Like in New York, say, they're prob'ly still fulla British folks.

August of 1782. I'm guessin' you're from a while past that? [Yeah. He's heard about America and stuff, but hey. Always interesting to learn more about the future, right?]

You know... Honestly, I've got no clue.

Technology like this, though...? This kind of space travel? It can't be very close to my time.

Maybe not, but it's prob'ly closer to yours than it is to mine. If only technically.

I know for sure we don't have anything like that where I come from. It is pretty handy, though.
