1st light - accidental video
Who: Kairi and everyone!
Broadcast: The whole Fleet
Action: None, except anyone else on the hospitality deck
When: March 21
[If this was part of Yen Sid's training, then Kairi had to admit that she was not at all prepared for it. She had expected a good dose of bizarre, especially given what Riku and Sora's Mastery exams had been, but this...
What was this?
Kairi blinked before sitting up on her bunk, rubbing her hands over her arms. She felt cold, even though the air wasn't especially chilly. But something was missing, and it only took Kairi a moment to notice that she was alone, at least from what she could see. No voices or anything, just the distant hum of machines.]
Hello? Is anyone there?
[When no one answered, she brought her knees up to her chin and wrapped her arms around her legs. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Kairi was a little scared. Yen Sid hadn't even told her anything; the last thing she remembered was just arriving there and being greeted. Surely he would have given her some kind of instruction before sending her off on her training? She had hoped Riku would be with her during her training, too. But he was nowhere to be found. Neither was Yen Sid, or the King, or anybody. She was completely alone.
Be brave! I can figure this out, she thought.
Taking a deep breath, she looked around, trying to see if there was anything around that could help. That's when she spotted the communicator off to the side.]
What's this? A phone?
[It... sort of looked like one. As she picked it up, she wondered if there was some way to call someone and ask for help. If it was a phone, then she should be able to, right? Because she had never handled any kind of tech quite like this, she had no idea it was recording the whole time. While she randomly pressed at buttons and tried to figure out the communicator, she then realized that it was already doing something. Specifically, sending a call (or so she guessed).]
Hello? Can someone hear me? Please, if you can tell me what's going on, where I am... I'm not where I'm supposed to be, and I really need to go back. It's really important.
[A moment. Thinking she's on a regular phone, when she doesn't hear someone respond, Kairi's expression became crestfallen.]
Please.
[She sighed, trying hard to keep her spirits up as she pressed a few more buttons. Unintentionally, she ended the broadcast there.]

video;
[ yep, that's riku--startled and worried as per usual. ]
Kairi--where are you?
video;
Some button mashing later, Kairi finally manages to bring up the message, and her heart briefly constricts when she sees Riku's face. He was here! She's not sure if she should be relieved or worried, though.
But that could wait.]
Riku!
[Regardless, she's glad to see him, and it shows.]
I'm... not sure. I think I'm on a gummi ship or something. I see the stars out the window. I'm in a big room with beds.
no subject
You--you must be on the mothership.
no subject
[What... exactly... is that?]
I... I haven't left the room though. I can go explore, see what else I can find.

[She sets the communicator down, opting to focus on summoning her Keyblade. Her hand outstretched, Kairi puckers her brow and tries to summon it to her.
Nothing.
A frustrated sound crawls up her throat, and she tries again. And again. And again.
Still, nothing.]
I don't - usually I can sense something, at least. But there's nothing.
no subject
He's here, he's just... [ he avoids her gaze. ] ... asleep. Again.

[The communicator is back in her hands, her expression excited, at least until Riku follows up with the bad news.
For a moment, Kairi wants to just put her head in her hands and just... she didn't even know. Cry? Yell?
But she'll do neither. She refuses to let her hope be crushed. So she keeps her smile on her face, as hard as it is.]
That lazy bum. It's a wonder he sleeps at night anymore, with how often and how long he naps. I'll give him a good lecture when he wakes up.
[With that, she does let her smile fall a bit, but only because she has a serious question.]
Riku, what's going on? Where are we?
no subject
We're in space. Far away from home. You're on the mothership--the Marsiva. Sora and I are on one of the smaller ships around it--the SS Bloodsport.

video;
Hey, you're all right. Nothing on that ship is going to hurt you.
no subject
Still, she is still a bit nervous, even as she tries to fight through it and keep calm.]
Well, I haven't heard anyone, so you're probably right. It's a little eerie, though.
If you don't mind me asking, who are you? I'm not sure where I am.
no subject
[and since he at least saw the start of Riku's being surprised she's there (and can maybe hear across the physical ship)...]
You know Riku, right?
no subject
[His question surprises her, to say the least.]
Riku? Yeah, I do. He's one of my best friends. Have you met him?
no subject
[he laughs a little.] Riku's on my ship with me. He's our security guy. He's talked about you before.
no subject
[And just generally being protective.]
Has he? Should I be worried? [She's clearly teasing, but she's curious as to what Riku's said.]

video;
Well here's somebody I didn't expect to see again.
[Axel, you didn't expect to see anybody again.]
no subject
Axel? You're here too?
[How many other people that she knew were here?]
Er, Lea. Sorry, old habit.
no subject
I'm still Axel, see? [He points to the little tattoos under his eyes.] Though... I mean I guess you can call me Lea, since that's apparently where I'm headed anyway. It's just kinda weird; I haven't gone by that name in so long. Riku told me about... [He makes a vague gesture with one hand.] I didn't believe him at first, but let's just say I had a recent epiphany.
no subject
[wut]
You still -
[Wait, how is he still Axel? SHE IS SO CONFUSED. EXPLAIN, NOT-YET-LEA.]
no subject
no subject
So you got brought here from a different time. Wow.
[She's... going to contemplate the gravity of that. Later.]
You were? [Oh :( Axel - er, Lea!] I didn't... I'm sorry.
no subject
[He waves a hand dismissively.]
What're you sorry for? You didn't do anything wrong. I was the one who was gonna apologize to you, I just got kinda tied up, is all. Didn't Sora pass the message along? I told him to. If he didn't, I'm gonna beat him up.
[He's kidding. Mostly.]
no subject
[When it came to certain things, at least. Maybe he had his reasons for not passing the message along. Or he probably forgot in the ensuing chaos.]
