Anyway, call it curiosity or boredom if you want, but has anyone else done this song and dance before? I'm talkin' about the gettin' dragged to other worlds nonsense, but if any of ya'll come from a world with space travel, humor and me and tell me about that, too. I'll even give points out for someone who manages to surprise me with somethin' new.

Where I'm from we landed on the moon in 1969. There's been some rovers on Mars, but I don't really follow it.

Too new to really tell you much else, I'm afraid. That flight doesn't mean anything to me, either.

Sounds about similar to where I'm from. Can't say I've been following the news lately, though, so if they've sent something else up I don't know about it.

The flight number is a shot in the dark, doubt anyone will recognize it.

It is, I doubt anyone would be able to keep a stable mentality if it were any more frequent.

Sometimes. Largely we lived on a space station. While the Earth was...uninhabitable. It was complicated.

Last month's entertainment isn't a regular occurrence, no. It's only happened once so far, sometime last year if I recall. A practically sedate schedule compared to the last world I was at.

I haven't been dragged to a world like this before, but I grew up in space. I'm Captain of the Norway, a damn fine ship, and the only war ship in the Merchanter's Alliance.

Norway was built by Earth Company as part of a fleet, to defend Earth. She holds a little over a thousand personnel, capable of Jump and fast cruise.

Well, I don't know if there's anything in particular you want to know? On the grand scale it's still pretty new for us. We developed faster than light almost forty years ago...first contact was nearly thirty...and we discovered the rest of the races were light years ahead of us. Literally.

[ Now that they're back on the ships and away from Calibration hell, Bucky's taken to making rounds of the Heron. The last time they did that shit, the ships changed; he has to make sure everything's the same and the crew is more or less in one piece. The faces have changed a little and so have the crew rosters, but they always do. He comes across Sawyer on his way to the kitchen. ]

You the new guy, or just visiting?

[it's probably a good thing Bucky came across him when he did, because Sawyer was going to finish wandering the ship, then investigate all of the rooms he oh so politely avoided on the first pass. Once a nosy SOB, always a nosy SOB]
